Congratulations. My mom will be 101 on October 24. Has her own apartment with a caregiver and with us spelling the caregiver. Let’s hope we share the genes of our mothers and fathers.
To: bannie
Remarkable. What a blessing.
Many happy returns of the day.

They are! They’ve lived good lives. I’m totally fortunate!
I love them; but I’m surprised at how big a deal Dad’s birthday is for me this year.
God is good!

WOW! I’m so happy for you, too!! I’m still asking God for many more years with them!
Both Mom and Dad are still so active. To see them, the seem to be in their middle 70’s.
When Dad was in his early 80’s he broke his arm when he fell out of a tree—because he lost his grip on his chain saw. He quit climbing trees...but not using the chain saw.
The only real difference is that he paces himself now. When he mows the lawn, he does it in sections instead of all at once.
From where I sit, it looks like we never stop needing our parents.

Sometimes I break down, he seems better when he has a couple.
