Apple slams Microsoft’s Windows 7 with three new ‘Get a Mac’ ads (with video)

Apple debuted a trio of hard-hitting "Get a Mac" ads today on U.S broadcast and cable networks that target Microsoft's Windows 7.

In Apple's "PC News" spot, "PC" reports that the launch of Windows 7 is causing "Upgrade Fever." People just cant wait to upgrade to their new Macs!

In "Tetter Tottering," a PC sufferer explains that to go from WIndows XP to Windows 7 you have to move all of your stuff anyway, so move it to the personal computer rated #1 in customer satisfaction: Apple's Mac.

In "Broken Promises," Once again, like a used car salesman, PC says "Trust me." When it comes to Windows, Microsoft's promises never end; and they never get realized, either.

Wait! My favorite one wasn’t listed. It showed PC telling Mac that Windows 7 won’t have the problems that Vista had. Mac tells PC that sounds familiar. Dissolve to a montage of PC telling Mac “this one won’t have the problems of XP.” “...of ME.” “...of 98” “...of 95” “...of Windows 2” (All the while PC looks younger and dressed in ‘80s style.)

I just saw a Windows 7 commercial and they were actually promoting the ability to easily snap windows to the side of the screen. Seriously give me a break. Who the hell would buy Windows 7 for that? I don’t think Apple has to worry.

Mac, the people that brought you the apple IIe...remember that debacle...LOL...I guess good commercials mean more than a good computer...A PC may not be perfect, but you can at least expand and ad to it at will...you can actually open it up.....try that with a mac or what ever they call it now a days....but I will admit one thing, more gays own macs than PC’s...wonder why...LOL

Mac, the people that brought you the apple IIe...

Actually, it would be Apple, the people that brought you the Mac but what the heck.

remember that debacle...

I think a lot of people today still remember the IIe since it was manufactured and sold for 11 years with few changes . I don't know that anyone who did would call it a debacle though.

The ads were great and the broken promises one is oh so true ...

The inevitable Microsoft Fanbois who flame all Mac users as gay sound as deranged as Clinton defenders or Obama lovers.

You're right. Their 5% of the market share is safe.

Or Bill Gates for that matter. macs remind me of the old stinky liberals who didn’t know any better back in the college days... most of the liberals in the making are now making what their worth... not much. I on the other hand respected and learned Gates approach to business and tech... and the rest is history... of course apple will attach ms... they are afraid... if not??? why spend money on propaganda if the mac and apple is superior? Question asked an answered.

An Apple laptop opens like a Windows laptop, an Apple all-in-one opens like a Windows all-in-one, and an Apple desktop case opens like a Windows desktop case.
