America is FAT!
10/31/2009 | Kevin Dunnigan

AMERICA IS FAT!!

Why spend so much time on effect when problems are solved by dealing with cause. We do not have a health care system, we have a disease care system. And we all are about to go over the cliff with a new system that rewards those who make bad choices, which has led to a great part of the problem in the first place. Come on America, wake up!! Come on Washington, deal with the real issues instead you becoming the solution to a problem you created.

Take some time today and look at your fellow Americans. They are fat and lazy. They take the esculater instead of the stairs. They park as close as they can so not have to walk. They consume poisonous sugar drinks known as "soda" like it is a staple of life. Our kids sit in front of computers and TVs and eat crap instead of being outside, primarily because their parents are too weak to help them make other choices, or they don't have parents there at all. Go to the nurses station at your local hospital and look at the nurses with their slurpies and double cheese burgers. Look at these so called health care professionals and look at their weight. It is sick, Most of them are fat, plain and simple and they are helping you with your health, Are you kidding me?? What an example!

Look around. Go to Walmart today and look and let me know what you see. America is fat, obese, lazy! Common Sense tells us all if you are fat, that leads to big health problems, AND BIG HEALTH COSTS! Not that difficult America! Look around. Obesity is hard on your joints, your heart, clogs your arteries, encourages disease, and is just plain stupid.

Generations ago, our population was not fat. They made better choices. You know why they made better choices? Because there were consequences if they did not. There are none today other than bad health.

For the record, I am more conservative than most, but this is not a political issue as the red are as fat as the blue. This is an American issue and a call to deal with the real health care issue, ENCOURAGING OUR CITIZENS TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR HEALTH! What a novel idea! This would go a long way to solve the problem.

I just spent two weeks in Europe and my anger was building daily. You know why? Because over there, they are not fat. They are fit. You do not see a fast food joint on every corner. I did not see damaging soda pop on their tables. They drink water God Forbid! And you know what, they are not fat. And because of this, they are healthier because they make better choices. And this is true over most of the rest of the world. America, you are fat and its your fault! Do something about it and quit blaming genetices and others.

To really make my point, I will share a quick story. I was in line at the Airport in Paris and struck up a conversation with a nice fellow from Denmark. And we stared talking about how America is obese and how America in the health care debate is missing the whole point. Why not encourage and reward those who make good choices? Teach good eating habits instead of paying $200,000 for an open heart surgery! Have good health habits instead of getting new knees because you were so fat you wore them out! Put away the pop and the big macs, ect, ect. Give your kids a gym membership instead of a new computer. And he shared something with me that I will never forget and that says it all.

He said that when he and his family come to America "on Holiday", his kids go up behind people in America and take pictures of their fat butts. I asked him why and he shared with me because it is something his kids have never really seen where they live, and in such mass quantities. His kids are taking pictures of fat people because they don't see alot of it at home, Kind of like taking pictures of an eclipse. But it is not rare here!

America, you have become fat and lazy. The work "personal responsibility" has gone out the window and replaced by someone should take care of me. Parents, you should be ashamed of yourselves and the example you are setting. If you changed your habits, your kids would. Tell your spouse you love them, so much that you wish they would change their habits and make better choices. Don't be scared to say what needs to be said. "I love you and because of that I encourage you to make better choices, and I would like to help you in doing so." Help each other in this fight. It is your body and you only have one of them. The only ones benefiting from all of this are the companies that make clothes for fat people. For them, business is booming.

Because of your bad choices America, you are killing our country and taking us all with you. And because our leaders in Washington continue to react and deal with effect and not cause, we will continue to decline. And that brings us to the current ''HEALTH CARE DEBATE"

WHAT A JOKE! Again, we do not have a health care system, we have a disease care system. Our system would rather spend hundreds of thousands of dollars fixing something than a few dollars preventing something. If you don't change your oil, your engine will blow up and lock up. Pretty simple. If you put pop in your gas tank, the car won't work! If the kids sit around all day drinking slurpies and eating twinkies, someone is going to have to pay for that. And everyone wants that someone to be someone else, and now they want that someone to be the governement more than ever. That is what has helped create this mess.

HELLO!! What about "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY" That seems to be a foreign language now in this country. And mark my words, there is a direct correlation between the decline in personal responsibility and the decline in America, and only we can change that. Look are our forefathers and their personal responsiblity and look at today. They are rolling over in their graves.

The current health care bill is actually going to make it all worse. It does nothing but now reward bad choices. It does not deal with the cause, it deals with the effect and shifts the burden to others. It does nothing to deal with the cause of bad health, it will actually encourage bad health as it discourages individual responsibility and good choices. I get a good driver discount on my car insurance because I make good choices. I get a better rate on my life insurance because I have made good choices. But our current DISEASE CARE system would rather spend a fortune on a surgery that would not have to have been done is someone would have just taken care of themselves. SO, lets start talking about cause instead of effect and deal with the real cause of high medical costs. Do yourself a favor and look at Safeways Corporate model of health care. Do some homework.

Lets get a system where someone actually cares what it costs. If you go today to purchase tires for your car, are you going to ask what it costs? If you are going to buy a new car, are you going to ask what it costs?? Yes and Yes. But, when Americans go in for disease care, they don't ask what it costs. Why, because they don't care because someone else pays for it. What a sick system. Next time you go for a medical service, stop and ask them what the visit or procedure costs!! They will be stunned and will not have an answer for you other than why do you care, someone else pays fo r it. That in lies the big problem and that leads to corruption and abuse. Do you think if everyone had a big copay and had to share a bigger part of the cost and they had some skin in the game, they might take better care for themselves? No one should be allowed to go to the emergency room because they have a cough, and then have someone else pay for it. Come on!!

The current health bill will destroy this country as more government and less personal responsibility will make the problem worse. Why should I take care of my health when the government will take care of me!! What a sick system.

This health care bill should encourage competition, encourage preventative medicine and wellness. We need to get to a point where the consumer cares what it costs, and that lends itself personal responsiblity. We need to get the lawyers mostly out of the room so real doctors can practice real medicine, preventive medicine. We need to allow competition across state lines among insurance companies. AND WE NEED TO REWARD AND ENCOURAGE GOOD HEALTH HABITS AND CHOICES! AND THAT STARTS AT HOME PARENTS. Reward good behavior and discourage bad choices. What a novel idea!!

IF YOU AGREE WITH THIS, PASS THIS ON. especially to those in Washington. I know underneath they all get this, but they are too scared to stand up for what is right. They would rather deal with the effect than the cause. Not very smart!!

I will say that “glamor magazines” might have curbed the image of large as acceptable during the 70’s & 80’s / or maybe mom’s aren’t cooking from traditional style menus anymore - but now - most advertising encompasses everyday people - and most of the US citizens don’t care that they are growing large...kinda reminds me of that movie, WALL-E - and everyone on the spaceship...

How about other behaviors that lead to health problems? Will you “reward” gay men if they choose to abandon their self-destructive, disease promoting lifestyle? If they refuse will you cut off any government subsidy for their medical treatment?

If people needed to work to eat we would be less fat. Welfare makes people fat. Sports like dodge ball kept kids from getting fat. The nanny in government banned this many places.

Government is not the answer to our problems, government is the problem.

Oh thank you so much.

Geez, it’s gimme, gimme, gimme no matter what side it comes from.

How about this, make people responsible for themselves. You want to be fat (some guys want chunky women) or do Heroin or skydive, that’s your choice and if your health is harmed by it, YOU pay up. A job or jail.

Problem solved.

American’s are too obese, but there is no way government should determine what is fat or not. Government doesn’t know how to determine what fat is, they use height-weight charts.

Also the government-sanctioned food pyramid is high in carbs and low in protein.

Government doesn’t even know what a healthy diet is.

Fat Teddy would have been put in charge of determining what is fat or not if he was still alive, that’s what government would do for obesity.

Prepare to get flamed. There are still too many here that think that fat is a sign of success. The problem of obesity is enormous (pun intended). Just ask any nurse or health care worker. Fat people are a lot of problem.

The idea that being fat is attractive is jut plain nuts.

I think it was the lack of choices that kept them at a normal weight. No cars, escalators, or fast foods. Probably 90% of jobs were manual labor.

Most “Fat Middle class working Americans can Kick the Crap out of any three Skinny Europeans at the same time. (Any 4 Skinny MetroSexuals anywhere you find them)..

(There is an exception for the French because we are just too fat to catch up to them as they all run away))That is the real reason why Patton perfected Mechanized Warfare.)

Afterwards we will sit our Fat backsides and enjoy a Budweiser or nice ice filled glass of Coca Cola. Oh and of course a nice Fat Hebrew National Polish Dog..(that ought to make you crazy)

Those Fat Americans your sniviling about can Out Shoot, Out Fight, Out Think..and if Demographic reports on the percentage of children born in each country are correct thats not all we can “out do” you Metrosexual Clowns and Cowardly Euroweenie Kow Towing to the Islamofacists.

The only people in Western Europe we can honestly have any respect for are the Germans (Who big suprise are also “fat”) who at least will fight us and of course our British Cousins (also fat) who are not Western Europeans anyway..

The rest.. Well there are some decent looking Scandinavian women who if they would like to avoid being raped and assaulted by Mudslime Invaders because their skinny metrosexual men are too cowardly to defend them).
The better looking women amongst them would do well to start today writing letters or go online to find some nice Fat Middle Class American Man. Get married and move to the US.

Once here they can have nice Fat Babies who will grow up into nice Fat Men and Women who will lay their lives down to protect their own nice fat little babies as we have for the last 300 years.

Make no mistake we still kick the crap out of anyone you want to send in our Direction and even in our Fat selves hardly break a sweat.

(I know how that frustrates your kind ... sorry) NOT!!!

My suggestion to you.

With all due respect.

Try minding your own da$% business.

Try getting that Beam out of your own eye first.

Try Shutting up and leaving people alone..
