A Philadelphia newspaper has apologized to readers for mistakenly running an ad congratulating the Philadelphia Phillies on winning back-to-back World Series titles.
The Yankees held a commanding 3-1 lead in the championship as of Monday, the day the ad was printed in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

It aint over till its over. Now to the inky, theres a bunch of idiots running that paper. Even if the Phillies blow it tonight, they have nothing to hang their heads over. They gave us a great season.
I gave Phillies props when the World Series began. You can’t be playing tonite if you don’t have what it takes. They have a title to defend and it’s a testimony that they were able to be here tonite.
I don’t hate the opponents....I just like to watch the tight series/games.

Actually, showing the logo printed on this shirt prior to the end of the World Series is a copyright violation. Not that it’ll ever be used...way to go National Inquirer.
