A commentary on Obamacare? Discuss. That's an unsustainable stretch.

Since the author of BC is dead, that would be quite an accomplishment.

I doubt its a comment on ObamaCare, at least I would hope so. Maybe he’s taking Newts side on NY-23 and this was made weeks ago?

I don’t see the comparison.

None of us see it. Tell us why YOU think it could apply to ObamaCare.

From Wiki:
"Hart died on April 7, 2007 after suffering a stroke at his home in Nineveh, New York.[1] Following his death, the strip continues under Hart's daughter Perri Hart and his grandson Mason Mastroianni (who were involved with the strip prior to his death), with contributions by Mick Mastroianni. It is syndicated by Creators Syndicate."
This strip is signed Mason, so it's a current one.
My take on it:
The big tree represents all of the health care that currently exists in the United States.
If you whittle it down, it's mostly good but could stand to have some improvements.
BC tosses the whole thing and goes after another tree--OBAMAcare will 'start over from scratch' and rebuild 1/6th of the USA's economy in their own image (meaning WAAAY higher taxes for all of us and our descendants, into perpetuity).

Nope. Comics need to have an obvious message for the humor/message to be effective and to get that message from the strip would require lots of assumption and stretching. Sometimes a comic strip is just a comic strip.

“BC” has always had a subtle subtext in many of the comics, usually commenting on the day’s religious or govt. issues. I was just curious to see if others here saw what I was seeing.

Since it’s associated with this thread, that’s the way I see it also. However, if I had seen it as a stand-a-lone, I doubt I’d have made the association.

Ah! Another enlightened soul! LOL. :-)
I just happened to be reading the Sunday funnies when I came across this cartoon by a liberal 'artiste':
Bizarro comic so my brain was already on Obamacare. Then when I read the BC comic, I made the connection to Obamacare as well.

The Left needs to own up that there WERE Soviet agents working inside the United States including named people they defended for decades (Algir Hiss) and that many of the “New Democrats” who came to power after the 1968 riots are Red Diaper Doper Babies who claim that fears of Marxism are unfounded because "Marxism and Socialism are good for us all".
