A T-shirt a day has kept unemployment at bay for an American man who is making about $85,000 a year by selling advertising space on his torso.
Jason Sadler, 26, a former marketing professional from Florida, founded his own company, www.iwearyourshirt.com, in 2008 with the idea to wear a T-shirt supplied by any company and then use social media tools to promote the firm.
For his human billboard service, Sadler charges the "face value" of the day so January 1 costs $1, while December 31 costs $365.
Sadler said this may not sound like a lot but it adds up to $66,795 a year if he sells out every day, which he did this year. He also sells monthly sponsorships for $1,500, adding another $18,000 to his income.

Ah, the modern era ... I had the idea to sell ad space on a VW Bus back in themid sixties. Couldn't find any local businesses to buy the spaces, except the Budweiser distributor, but since I was under 21 they couldn't sign the business to my intended bus. A few short years later and I saw one on TV on football Saturday, out in So. Cal., IIRC.

Cool idea. I had a similar idea about 4 years ago. BIDMYSPACE.COM where I sold advertising space on my real-life items.
I got on local TV and 2 local radio shows. I sold everything from advertising on my toilet to ads on my bedroom wall, kitchen sink, and the rear window of my jeep. You can probably still google search and find videos/images but the site is now gone.
I made some quick money when I was popular as Mr Bidmyspace. Now I run
AuctionBump.com free online advertising.

No, I sold the space on my toilet on ebay, I did the video, and I placed a picture of my toilet with the winners ad on bidmyspace.com (that was my idea). The t-shirt guy won the ebay auction listing.

Obama should copy this guy's idea - wear someone's logo tee shirt every day at the White House. He could donate the income to the treasury and offset some of the huge debt he is creating!
Aaaaargh! I hope he doesn't see this and think I am series!
