A new Guinness World record has been set in South Africa for the most women to parade around in a bikini, organisers say.
Kellogg’s Special KR’s Sarah Mansfield said 287 bikini clad women descended upon Melrose Arch in Johannesburg on Saturday to help break the record for the “World’s Largest Bikini Parade”.
“Decked out with smiles, sunglasses and even heels, these confident and fun-loving women of all ages, shapes and sizes paraded down 1,690 meters of Melrose Arch Boulevard to break the world record.
“We were delighted to see tall, short, boyish, curvy, pear and apple-shaped women all have the confidence to do things ’their way’, and participate in the parade.
“Spirits were high as not only were these women celebrating their femininity, [but] were making a difference by creating awareness for breast cancer in South Africa, Mansfield said.
Special KR made a donation to the non-profit breast cancer awareness group, Pink Link.
“Celebrities Bonang Matheba, Grant Nash and Anele Mdoda were there to show the girls their support.
“The day culminated into a summer celebration, as the Piazza at Melrose Arch was transformed into a summer escape amongst the urban architecture. Ladies were able to enjoy the entertainment and festivities on the Astroturfed Piazza which donned sexy sun loungers, water pools and even a mani and pedi area where the girls could escape to, to enjoy some pampering.”

I was a bit concerned for you fellows when the article said all sizes and ages.
That being said that one gal has some ripped abs.
I’m mad at myself for not being there to show my support. We can’t expect these ladies to do it all themselves. We need to be on the sidelines shouting encouragement and taking pictures, you know, to increase their morale and such. :)
I am suprised they were not all in hot pink as that is the color that we use here.
Kinda thought it was used globally.

Umm, I think the rules should be suspended for this one.
I see most don’t jog and shouldn’t wear bikinis.
Some of these girls have absolutely no business being in Bikini’s!
