Judging by what I heard and considering the large crowd, this was a small percentage who gave out rockstar worship shrieks. It had the pitch of a mostly female participation, like you hear on a Madonna or MJ live video (or as I hear them when they are blasting it out at Fry's Electronics; I hate them both).
