Add to favorites The cattiness begins: Wynonna Judd thinks Swift victory 'too soon'

Seems there's a little Bitter Betty in the air following Taylor Swift's CMA victory. Wynonna Judd is doing the slow clap to Swift's win. Judd was quoted saying "You want my honest comment? It's too much too soon." She goes on to berate the way success is a corporate decision now, instead of the result of hard work, putting in the time, and relentless energy. "There was a making of a star, there was a rising up and the fans went with us...now it's over coffee breaks."

Here's Wynona from last night's show. I guess she a reason to be bitter; she's looking more like a man with makeup these days.

Too soon? How about not at all. That first song she sang at the beginning of the show was so bad I turned the sound of about half way through and was wondering how she even got nominated, let alone win. Must be the teeny boppers that swung it.

Too bad the CMA doesn't recognize real country artists anymore. Buddy Miller, Paul Burch, Kieran Kane, Scott Miller, Thad Cockrell, Rosie Flores, to name a few.

But then it wouldn't be the CMAs then, would it? You have to look purty and sell a zillion records.

I believe part of it was a Kanye backlash/Swift affirmation kind of thing.

Maybe she’s right, not bitter. Ah, I don’t even listen to country music anymore. My Daddy was old school country and he’s probably turning over in his grave seeing these guys with the tight pants singing pop music and calling it country.

Maybe Naomi could have stormed the stage, grabbed the microphone and told everyone that her daughter deserved to win.

Sorry, Wynona ... I’m not exactly a Taylor Swift fan (she’s a bit too much “pop” for my taste) ... but I was never a Judds fan at all. You’re acting bitchy, Wynona, and jealous ... and it’s most unbecoming.

She’s just mad that it wasn’t her making it that young as a singles singer. If Wynona weren’t so unbelievably ugly she might have had that chance. As it stands, she needed her pretty mother to drag her along.

I don’t think Taylor Swift is much of a vocalist, but she’s a clever songwriter for her niche. My 9- and 11-year-old daughters love her music ... even though they’re both better singers than she is.

The awards are about business, though, and she’s a huge moneymaker.

I must be out of touch, I was not aware that there are any real country artists anymore, excepting George Jones and maybe a couple of other old names like Randy Travis. Is there someone under forty that I don’t know about?

Wynona’s got herself a big brown beaver
And she shows it off to all her friends.
One day, you know, that beaver tried to leave her,
So she caged him up with cyclone fence.
Along came Lou with the old baboon
And said Recognize that smell?
Smells like seven layers,
That beaver eats Taco Bell.

Yep. I'm cynical when it comes to these awards shows. The CMA costs a lot of money to produce and air. The advertisers want viewers. The viewers want to see Taylor Swift and most importantly, they want to see Taylor Swift win.
