I can’t believe you went with the typical liberal response. Liberals love to toss that out there out of context so certain actions can’t be judged. A true Christian has a responsibility to judge right from wrong. We can’t judge someone’s eternal destiny, but we can judge their actions right here on earth. If you used that quote in the context you are using it, we would have to toss out the entire justice system.
The only reason Carrie is the subject of so much despair and disparaging remarks here is because she CHOSE to support the CHRISTIAN position in support of marriage being between one man and one woman. The attacks and judgment she has received by those who similarly believe in this definition of marriage are astonishing to me. Carrie did the RIGHT thing at a time when it would have been so very easy to ‘go along to get along’ and that is just not good enough for the church lady league here on FR.

Does everyone know that if these two were both 17, they could be caught doing it, and it wouldn’t be a crime. But hey, if she’s alone and sends a text with video to that same 17 year old, why that’s a crime. String her up.

This would be laughable, if it wasn’t such a concerted group effort to destroy a heterosexual white blond, simply for having an opinion. SmallHead and all the rest of these people should be ashamed of themselves, but alas, they have no shame.

Prejean acted in a manner that is normal for kids these days. I don’t like the idea that a young woman like her would do this, but many kids are doing it. They have a new technology that gives them the ability to send texts, and they do it.
When I was a kid, we jumped in the old mustang, drove south of town to lookout point, and we saw firsthand everything that she sexted to her boyfriend. That was legal. This supposedly isn’t. That’s just plain nuts.
The media has glomed on to this like maggots on a slab of week old beef.
So Carrie has some nude photos out there. So she has some sexted videos out there. Oh the horrors. I’d bet a dollar to a donut the folks attacking Prejean the most for having done this, have lined up around screens to take a gander at them.
Prejean has stood up well to what is going on. It’s been going on most of this year. It’s a public effort to destroy her. She’s not having any of it. She still defends herself and I give her kudos for it.
In the overall scheme of things, Carrie’s infractions are minor. Think of the things the people who attack her do on a normal basis. Then tell me taking some short clips taken herself doing normal heterosexual things is disgusting. Well, it just isn’t.
Playboy Playmates are all over the media today. They’re treated as if they have done nothing wrong by just about everyone. Some of the very people trashing Prejean, have either supported them, or have supported people who are into all manner of disgusting behaviors.
But boy, let one heterosexual hottie stand up and voice an opinion, and it’s pitchforks and sledge hammer time.
I may not agree with everything Prejean has done, bit I’ll be damned if I’ll watch the likes of the people who have lined up against her in silence. She can count me on her side.
Those who wish to line up with the miscreants who dislike her, you have my sympathy for not being able to understand what’s at stake here.
I refuse to watch someone be forced to shut up. Prejean may be able to take it, but the next girl is going to avoid a good answer to this question like the plague.

Could be..the reason so many of us did not make sex tapes was not because of our virtuous beliefs. It was probably because when we were young the technology wasn’t there.
I can not in all honesty say that at age 19 if I had a camera phone, and a girlfriend as pretty as this, I would have never tried to “document” the episode for posterity’s sake.
I wouldn’t do it now and I suspect neither would she. Seems redemption has disappeared from the Right. Many conservatives seem to look at women in the same light as hip hop artist, or Islam. Hey..people change, and even then they aren’t perfect.

If I had to choose between having coffee with her versus coffee with the folks attacking her, it would be an easy choice.
Any time I’m not sure about a person or an issue, I wait until Gloria Allred has weighed in on it. (and then I take the opposite position, of course)

I’m not certain what your photo was meant to relate. It’s my take by your response that it is something negative, to reveal the flaw in my argument.
If you’ll look back at your later teen years before becoming an adult, you may see things within yourself that you are not necessarily proud of. I’m not proud of some of the things Prejean did either, but we are human and we each have our human flaws. I had them.
Should these flaws cause us to lose our ability to earn an income, participate in programs whose other participants are severely flawed, or to be respected as an adult with reasoned views in society forever?
The left has sought to destroy Prejean. They don’t want her given a position of honor. They have sought to strip her of positions. About ten months later, they are still working actively to destroy Prejean.
These are the same people what will come up with every excuse in the book to keep killers from receiving justice. They will come up with reasons why terrorists were at least somewhat justified, because they were insulted at one point.
Don’t you think there’s a little overkill going on here, with regard to Prejean? In the overall scheme of things, what she did was nothing. It didn’t harm anyone else.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again, she is only being taken down because she voiced opposition to homosexual marriage, and the left couldn’t think of anyone more visible to destroy as an example for having done that.

That’s a pretty foolproof plan you’ve got there. I’ll admit to using her as a rule of thumb myself. There have been a couple of times I had to really rethink an issue hard, because we landed on the same side of it.
If that doesn’t cause a Conservative consternation, not much will. ;-)
I agree that is why the left chose to go after her. However, she has also come out espousing to be a conservative Christian, writing a book, doing interviews, etc. The libs are going to dig any skeletons out of her closet, so she would be best to come clean because the way it is going, she is coming across as a hypocrite.
