In a letter in the Nov 18 Pasadena Star News (see below) Brandon Lee Fureigh of Glendale pretends to be a proponent of small government who believes it is un-Christian to let people die due to denial of health insurance to all those who make mistakes in filling in medical insurance applications, who cannot afford health insurance, who put politics-for-sale above caring, and worst of all, because of the lies that go unchallenged in the media.
Well, we are going to do what Mr. Fureigh advocates and challenge some of his own lies about himself and health care reform right here.
First, Mr. Fureigh is not a small government advocate but the lead organizer in the 29th Congressional District (Congressman Adam Schiff) for President Obamas ORGANIZE FOR AMERICA and is a registered Democrat. You can verify this for yourself by going to Patrick Briggs website ETERNITY IS NOW: FAITH, POLITICS AND COMMUNITY at the following link: http://greeneggsandham.org/wordpress/ Patrick Briggs is a famous anti-war Progressive in Pasadena who is also active in health care reform in the Democratic Party.
Mr. Fureigh is a phony that writes form letters advocating health care reform like the one excerpted below and sends them out to newspapers pretending he is a conservative, and worse, wants to hold others to a Christian standard.
Secondly, Fureighs contention that people are dying because of errors on medical insurance applications and because of unaffordable health insurance is a flat out lie.
Contrary to Mr. Fureigh, people arent being denied health insurance because of errors in filling out their insurance apps. This is nothing but lying by hyperbole (exaggeration). If he is alluding to people being denied insurance because of declaring pre-existing medical conditions, he is still lying.
Those who have pre-existing medical conditions cannot be denied or dropped from employer-paid health care plans by law. Only those who have self-paid private insurance are potentially vulnerable to denial due to prior health conditions (e.g., stroke, cancer, etc.). But if they are denied health care for pre-existing conditions, in California they are typically automatically eligible for Blue Cross Catastrophic Care Insurance paid for by Big Tobacco taxes; or are eligible for Medi-Cal if they are without financial resources (except for owning a home). This is to say nothing about charitable health care assistance often run by hospitals. No one in California is dying because of lack of health care insurance or subsidies.
Writing that people are dying due to lack of health insurance is nothing but the worst kind of inflated lying meant to scare people into voting for health care reform. For someone such as Mr. Fureigh who castigates others for putting politics over health care, his letters are full of nothing but hypocrisy and political propaganda.
Beyond Mr. Fureighs lies, we dont want people buying medical insurance only after they become sick. If there were no pre-existing conditions clause in health insurance policies, everyone would just wait and sign up for insurance when they checked into a hospital. Those who dont want to pay insurance premiums but want instant insurance coverage are called free-riders.
Mr. Fureigh is adamant that he wants his country back from special interests. How about getting our country back from those liars, political propagandists, and the politicians they elect, who want a free ride such as Mr. Fureigh? Read Fureighs letter below:
BRANDON LEE FUREIGH LETTER With regard to the health care debate: I have no problem with those who make a profit. But I have a big problem when it is done at the expense of the taxpayers as has been done under the current system. I am not for big government. I am, however, for effective government. I believe accessible and affordable health care falls under the "general welfare" clause of the Constitution. It is mind boggling to me that the same party that loves to remind us that we are a "Christian nation" chooses not to live up to that title when it matters the most. People are dying, not because they are lazy, out of work and can't afford insurance, but because insurance companies drop them for spelling something wrong on an application. They are dying because even though they paid their premiums in full and on time, they still can't afford their medication or the treatments that could save their lives. People are dying, and some in this country, my country, are more concerned with politics and power than they are about making our lives better. I too want my country back. I want it back from the bought and paid for representatives whom are more worried about getting re-elected then doing what they know to be right. I want it back from the special interests who buy them. I want it back from the lies that go unchallenged in the media. We are the change we voted for. This is our time. Stand up and be counted. Because they are as a group sociopathic, and devoid of moral compass or belief in "right" and "wrong," the liberal chimps don't understand that, if you have to lie and deceive to try to win, you have actually already admitted defeat.
It's really kind of precious. Before America woke up, it would have been scary... but now that the sleeping giant has woken up all cranky, their attempts to ilegally take over are doomed from the start, transparently and laughably obvious, and even ridiculously funny were they not so despicable.
1. As a "voting block," I believe we outnumber the actual hard-left socialist psychotic Constitutional criminals by around 2-or-3-to-1.
2. We're the side that believes in owning lots of recreational gear; skis, fishing poles, javelins, guns, crossbows...
Odds on favorites, I'd say. Prohibitive even.
