Sad day for UGA, dogs and Uga's owners.

ATHENS -- To the Bulldog Nation, the Uga mascot is royalty, the lineage anointed to represent the University of Georgia. But to the Seiler family, the English bulldogs are family pets. That is sadly evident at times such as these.
In only his second season as Georgia's mascot, Uga VII has passed away.
Uga VII passed away suddenly Thursday morning at his home in Savannah. At 4 years old, he was practically a pup and had served as Georgia's mascot for not even two full football seasons when he unexpectedly succumbed to heart problems.
Sad day for UGA, dogs and Uga's owners.

Uga is cute but the Ralphie the real buffalo mascot for Univ of Colorado is the best college mascot. Great sight when Ralphie runs around the field at the start of each half.
He is certainly one of the best - but not THE best.

Sad, such a young dog. We almost lost a 4 year old dog to AIHA. It came on so suddenly, we had no idea he was sick, until he was deathly ill.

A mascot should know it's a mascot and Uga plays the role perfectly. A Trojan or any other human is simply playing a theatrical role. Bevo and Ralphie and other animals of the hoof (rams, mules) are dumb brutes who don't know any better.

Our high school team colors and mascot are identical to UGA. So sad. Our year sucked too, perhaps our success is tied to UGA in some odd other-world type force LOL
It was Auburn, but hey, UT, AU, look a lot alike, that puke orange color.
Two weeks ago when Jesus scored that touchdown in JAX to beat Herschel's TD rushing record, I thought to myself that Erk Russell has just turned over in his grave, however little did I know at that time that Uga was also most likely seriously affected.
