First on TVNewser: American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert won't be appearing on "Good Morning America" tomorrow.
TVNewser has learned ABC News canceled the concert after Lambert's sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards Sunday night. Lambert led men on leashes, dragged a woman by her foot, and smashed a man's head into his crotch, all while singing his new single "For Your Entertainment."
ABC, which aired the awards show, received about 1,500 phone calls from people complaining about the performance, a number ABC calls "moderate."
An ABC News spokesperson tells TVNewser, "given his controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."
Lambert performed as part of GMA's summer concert series in August, and it was in a "20/20" interview that Lambert came out, telling Chris Connelly, "I am gay, and I'm very comfortable with it."
Geez, glad I don’t watch those award shows, this sounds like a doozy!

Given his behavior,maybe he and George Michael (of Wham! fame)
can tour together.....they seem to be cut from the same cloth.
Good. Get Kris Allen to replace him or Kelly Clarkston, Kellie Pickler, or Carrie Underwood. Any of them would be better. During the show I could not stand Kellie Pickler but she has completely changed 100 percent since leaving the show.
Yup, gotta be careful what you watch, my new flatscreen is too special to be “gay’d up” by watching that crap. I think the only thing I even watch on ABC nowadays is Jeopardy.
The only ABC show I watch is Extreme Makeover.

Usually it’s no-talent hacks who use shock and controversy to be in the news and sell whatever they’re selling. The sad thing is that Adam does have a great deal of talent, but his heart is so full of hatred for non-gay America, that he can’t help himself.
Notice how liberals tell everybody not to do or say anything “offensive” in order to shut up the opposition, then go out of their way to offend Christian America? What a bunch of hypocrites!
Gave up watching that kind of stuff years ago (what are they on, every week?) Friend of mine’s a movie buff and the Oscars are a must for him. I don’t really watch, other than poss. seeing a few seconds while switching channels (it usually winds up during the part when they’re paying tribute to
those who’ve passed on). Why, as I don’t like most of the movies out there now? Saw Cadillac Records in Feb., Pirate Radio a couple weeks back, and prob. Fantastic Mr Fox
next week, but other than that, what kind of movies are
worth it? And why watch the narcissism and politics the Oscars usually have?
yeah actually I’d done a search to see if it was posted and it hadn’t come up; I put a link to it in a previous article and then thought, well maybe I should post the whole article
as a thread.
Not that I approve of this sort of thing, but I’d almost have liked to have seen that. But not enough to look for it on youtube. It becomes harder and harder to shock, doesn’t it?
This is a shame because he is so talented he doesn’t need the schtick.
However, most of that performance was choreograhed. abc had to sign off on it so they are to blame as well. I hope Adam learns from this.
i disagree... i've seen GM in concert, and his performances were not like that... his private life--i suppose... but he's at least had success not only as a performer, but also as a songwriter... George Michael was smart enough to know that many of his fans were female...

I watched it on YouTube (been pulled due to a copyright complaint) and it was debasing, juvenile garbage.
A more appropriate title would have been, “A Cry for Help.”
The most interesting thing about the Lambert AMA performance was that ABC didn’t edit it for the west-coast feed. That means approval.
Lambert threatened them if they did edit it.
