Why is every single thread that I log onto this day after Thanksgiving, have a picture of Mitt Romney, that then trashes him??
Does JimRob and this website condone the Palin trashers, and try to create a Mitt backlash, to trash him?
Does this website wish to promote a Republican/Conservative candidate who has no real business experience, like our current loser-in-chief, Zer0?
Mitt has problems, as do each and every Pubbie, Conservative, or RAT potential to lead this once great US!
Back off on the hits to Romney, (or maybe do you see him as a threat, much like the RATs see Palin as a threat??)
I’ve paid my dues as a conservative, including years working full-time on pro-life, pro-family causes. But this kind of ugliness is just stupid.

We don’t know whether that’s Mitt, Palin, Huckabee, or anybody else, but why does FR go to such unrelented lengths to trash Romney at this stage of the fight.
I’m taking flak tonight, I hope I take more, because I want a real impartial debate to take place amongst our pubbie 50% of the population, without trashing either of the possible contenders!

I want 2010 to be the year CONSERVATIVES take control of Congress, not necessarily Republicans, but the fact is, the Republicans are the best shot we have. (The folks who scream "Third party!" seem to have a basic disconnect--if it's so hard to change the Republican party from its get-along ways, how much harder is it going to be to start a third party from scratch? This is lost in the lusty cries of "Change!" from our side.)
So, if I want to kick the statists out, how is screaming about them going to do that? Isn't it better to praise them for those few conservative positions they have, and show them (or more importantly, their followers) WHY they are wrong to "just get along"?
But instead of discussion, I see lots of armchair quarterback shouting and smearing. It's pointless, and clogs up what should be a place to discuss how we defeat the middle-of-the-roaders and get the conservatives to voice their positions, which we can then promote when the Schumers of the world whine "Where are the Republican ideas???"
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for sarcasm and humor...as tools for communicating. But you can't communicate much when any step outside the lines is met with "RINO!" while "our" favorites get their blemishes ignored because we LIKE them. Politicians don't "like" you, they use you and me and everyone else.
Fine. We should be just as ruthless and intellectually honest, all the time, with everyone.

The problem with your sentiment is that we have been burned by the vry candidates you describe. Liberal Republicans like Romney NEVER grow more conservative in office. They, like Bush, start to push liberal programs like the prescription drug benefit bill to show their so called compassion. What we see in the public pronouncements and past governance should be viewed as the high water mark for conservative governance. As I said before, we have been burned too many times to support someone like Romney that starts out so far to the left of the political spectrum. If you disagree then tell us why Romney will be different.

Michelle wasn’t there to join him, so she didn’t need to loosen her Boob belt in order to digest the dog that she would have been served,
while Zer0 was able to grovel all by himself to convince China (but not Taiwan) that their country should fund all the US debt that he can accumulate!

Telling the truth about Romney, often from his own words, is not trashing him. For all of his negatives, there are very few positives. And some views, without a great deal of clarification/explanation/repudiation from Romney himself, render him an unacceptable candidate.
Just one example from the video linked to this page (it sounds like everyone has the same video under the story):
I am not going to change our pro-choice laws in Massachusetts in any way. I will preserve them, I will protect them, I will enforce them, and therefore I am not going to make any law that would make it any more difficult for a woman to make that choice herself.
This is not a conservative position. Nor is RomneyCare.
Maybe there is some sort of change that has taken place since 2002, but that means we need to discuss those changes in Romney's position, with evidence at least as convincing as these that show his unacceptable (earlier) views.
