Here is video of Arizona Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio being heckled out of an event on the campus of Arizona State University. Arpaio has been strong on cracking down on illegal immigration, and protesters showed up to drown him out as he tried to answer questions at an event on the ASU campus. The protesters began singing, making it impossible for the Sheriff to be heard. He eventually simply got up and walked out, ending the forum. University officials said the protesters' actions were "very shortsighted."

If the Dean of the University spoke out against these jerks after the fact, why didn’t he simply have them removed from the auditorium? Let them do their singing outside.
Law and above all O R D E R. Anything short of that is anarchy and should have been a task of the swat team to restore.
It is no surprise, really. College campus leftists are the most radical and do not believe in free speech unless it only applies to them. I’m sure the campus staff/officials didn’t throw out the protesters as they want to hinder the “free speech” of the protesters.

College students - not old enough to have had life experience, not paid taxes to earn a say, and influenced by marxist tenured professors that hate America.
Why would a sane person even give them the time of day?
My oldest two were warned when they went off to college that if they participated in riots, protests, or other behavior they hadn’t earned AND it was on our dime - they had better hope the National Guard gets there before the parents do....
If conservative students had behaved that way towards a scum speaker they would have been forced to make a public apology at the least. More likely would have been kicked out for “hate speech.”
This sounds worse than the treatment Jeane Kirkpatrick got when she tried to give a speech at UC Berkeley in the early 1980s—in that case I think it was just a small minority who were heckling her. The left has gotten more aggressive in shutting down views they disagree with.
1) Why didn’t the campus cops remove the hecklers from a sanctioned campus event?
2) What issue was being protested? I’m “assuming” it had to do with illegals but the article didn’t explain.
3) Who exactly were these hecklers? Again, I’m “assuming” they were illegals who were getting a free education at US taxpayers’ expense.

Seems the faculty failed to provide the speaker with a stable environment which all people in attendance could enjoy or hate the speech.

Evict the protesters from the hall. They were violating his right to freedom of assembly and free speech. So much for the Socialist lie that they "may oppose what you say but defend until death your right to say it...".

Look at the liberal riot (video is probably on youtube) at Columbia when representatives from the Minutemen came speak.

Much of the radical protest on campuses like Berkely in the 60s wasn't even from enrolled students.
That and they already pay, courtesy of the University President, 20% of their tuition for full-rides to other students.
I had no idea until “the One” came to the university and instead of an honorary Doc, they named the “full-rides” the Obama scholarship. Two of my kids go there and that was the first time I heard that 20% of their, tuition that they pay, go to pay for other students.
Seems to me that is unfair to the other 80% and the University ought to make it “optional” or work with private business.
IOW the Dean did a meaningless act.

The Ft. Hood shooting was a violent act from the so called "anti-war" movement.
