Exactly right. It sounds exactly like the usurper in chief. They are both narcisstic personalities to the max.

You make an excellent point, in that Tiger (at some instant) chose to wear the mantle of "celebrity" as opposed to that of "golf professional". And because the entertainment media are to celebrity what saltwater is to a shark, his decision had consequences he may not have fully considered.

Nonetheless and given Tiger's upbringing and early success, it is out of character for him. The lure of celebrity is powerful; with it comes a form of universal adoration which is not the same as love: the latter completes the soul while the former has been known to empty it.

I’m not sure I understand the point of your post. Can you elaborate?

I meant it to be representative of the media's continued beating of poor Mr. Woods. With this new revelation/rumor of drug use, being the equivalent of another lash from the whip. The beating obviously is not over yet, ergo, the beat goes on.

I wonder if Earl’s passing was the turning point?

Could be, though Earl wasn't that great a father to the kids from his first marriage. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with his service requirements.

Then Earl did a tour in Korea. I was never stationed there, but I heard the stories. Later, Earl retired from the Army, and spent his time raising Tiger.

It didn't hurt that Tiger was under a management contract while in high school, and Earl earned a handsome income for "training fees."

Tiger's been gaming the system for almost 20 years.

It seems to me like Woods game has dropped off in the last year.

I'm an old southern male chauvinist hog but that is my thought too.

A brief stupid fling maybe it could be worked out for sake of kids etc but scores of gals and all the other stuff.

This marriage was probably dead in the water from way back

Tiger has to nut up. Make a deal with wifey and be a dad for his kids.

He'll do fine with his cash...good lord...I can't imagine having that sort of security.

The children are the real losers.

any outcome that has them work it out would surprise me.

I got around in my youth but I've been with just one woman exclusively since September 19th 1997.

which doesn't compare to lifelong marriages but it's damned good for me...we'll be married till one of us planted

I just have to wonder how Mr. Woods will face the crowds the first time he appears on that "first tee"?

Especially since the crowds are so *talky* these days and like to yell out. You just know that someone is preparing, right now, what they will say when Tiger is back on the course. I still remember the "yabba dabba doo!" guy, and it was right after that, that I stopped watching golf for good.

“...his decision had consequences he may not have fully considered.”

Absolutely. This is the first time that he touched the stove and got burned. But I have much more sympathy for a toddler who learns that lesson than an adult who has grown up in the spotlight from the beginning.

I have no doubt that Woods did steroids. His ROID RAGE was apparent when he would curse a blue streak and slam his golf clubs or throw them into the air with wild abandon when he screwed up. The twerp has some serious mental problems.

That's an idea I'd never considered. That would explain why he's so DIFFERENT from the other players. He's so aggressive!

No one, but no one should be violently throwing/smashing golf clubs and cursing the way he does.

I point to steroid abuse because that is what ROID RAGE is all about:

Angry and violent outbursts over the slightest things.

What?

So Woods missed a put?

Big deal.

Jack Niklaus missed a few puts in his day, and he never once cursed and threw/smashed golf clubs in total disregard for the safety of others.

Niklaus is a gentleman, which is why I respect him over Woods.

These controversies surrounding Woods only strengthens my contempt for him.

Woods is no gentleman.

...he’s so arrogant it just drips from him...and the fact that it seems NO ONE has ever said no to him. Everyone bows in his presence and wouldn’t dare say a negative thing about him. I’m sure he felt immortal. The world was in his hands and he could say or do anything he wanted.

Sounds like zerobama.

I just read somewhere that Tiger's father called Tiger "the chosen one". Which is what Obama has been called (as well as "the anointed one").

Men are hardwired to cheat, whether you like it or not. "Tell it to the judge"?? It's not a crime. Your pathetic threats are simply that, pathetic.

"Cheating" is simply a term invented by women to control men's sexuality. Tiger can sleep with whomever he wants, Nordic golddiggers notwithstanding. This woman should be deported from the USA in hadcuffs - she is a violent felon.

I hadn’t thought about a green card “running out”. Is it only valid if one is employed or married?

His steroid use has been speculated on for some time, so this isn’t really new news.
