That’s supposed to fix it too.
31-year-old top loader ...
I thought we were doing well with an 18-year-old one. This is inspirational ;-)
You are right. And of course, toss it in with a load to keep it fresh too.
Ive been using mine for 13 months now and not once have I pulled the soap tray out. I need to do that.
I have a Bosch front loader, circa 2001, never had mold in all these years, but I DO leave the door open when not in use. The instructions from the mfgr, tho, were absolutely never to use bleach in that washer, and I haven’t had to, the clothes come out incredibly clean with detergent and oxyclean.
Another advantage of the front loader: it uses only 1/4c of detergent and 2 tablespoons (coffee measure) of oxy. Over time I have saved a LOT of money on detergent along, much less water and electricity.
Wow. Well, I hope the one I am using lasts forever. But, if it ever arises for me to choose a new washing machine, I suspect I will go back to top-loading. I’m just too accustomed to that, after three decades of homemaking. The front-loading is nice, but I miss a top-loading. I like running small loads. I like finding one more thing and adding it to an already-running load of clothes. Congrats on your wise purchase.
Thanks. I have not used liquid fabric softener in years and years. I use dryer sheets. I will be glad to start using white vinegar. Maybe I can stop the dryer sheets. Thanks!
