I’m glad more countries are getting into the space game. Of course, I really hope its for peaceful purposes.
It won’t be for long they will use it for military purposes.
They have Bollywod which is peaceful. Then there is the Thuggee (aka Indy Jones and the Temple of Doom) which was not very peaceful.
Wish them a peaceful trip too.

Based on the info in the article, they have a way to go on the solid rocket technology. Specific impulse is around 206, where other western designs run about 240-250. Assume HTPB is a form of Polybutadiene (fuel), Ap is Ammonium Perchlorate (oxidizer), Al is powdered aluminum (primarily as a catalyst). One hurdle would be large propellant castings (called grains). The other is nozzle design. Improving the latter optimizes the specific impulse.
