Here is video of President Obama being asked by Oprah to grade his first year performance as President. Most people would have just responded with, "I'll let the American people do the grading." But Obama instead gave himself a "Solid B+," and if he gets Health Care passed by year's end, he would give himself an "A-."
Just to add to Obama as humility personified, he compares himself to Franklin Roosevelt in his response!
As for the American people, they are not as impressed with Obama as he is with himself.

So by giving himself a grade...is he claiming ownership now?

He knows he would get an "F" from the citizenry. Remember, this administration ALWAYS is on the offensive.....attacking and preempting.
In this case, he gets a "P" for "preempting" and an "FU" just for the hell of it.

Is that the same FDR who turned a bad recession into an over ten year Great Depression while trying to socialize everything he could get his hands on? I can see the semblance.
FDR’s a fair comparison, at least on the domestic side: President during an economic depression and making it worse with overreaching government programs.
Of course, FDR’s make-work programs gave us attractive WPA art deco buildings made out of long-lasting stonework, some art worth looking at, and paved roads in places that never had them before. Given that Obama won’t do what’s necessary to create real economic growth, he’d do better to imitate FDR and give folks government jobs as masons and stone-riggers and paving roads that need repaved or rurual roads that are still dirt roads than continue spending on ephemera.
He gets a D or F from 70% of the people who have taken the poll 16% D and 54% F which is reality.
I think his self-comparison to FDR is quite apt: throw in Woodrow Wilson and you’ve got yourself a Presidential Fascist Trifecta.

I compare him to FDR, too. FDR destroyed the US economy for over a decade. BO’s made a good start.
Its not about the health care, its not about the spending, its about the jobs. If he can’t get Americans back to work he will receive a “D” or “F”. I tremble at what this fellow will do if we have a real crisis handed to us. FDR stepped up to the plate on December 8th 1941—will Obama be able to do the same? Like the Nobel Peace Prize—all grades, awards, comments given at this time are worthless. Lets see what the guy does when he must face down Putin or a natural disaster like Katrina? I fear for the republic.
