A judge has sentenced two teenage girls to 59 years to life in prison for killing a woman so they could use her car for a trip to Knott's Berry Farm.
The crime occurred in 2007, when victim Angelina Arias gave the girls a ride home. Anna Salinas and Dayana Cordova were accused of shooting Arias, pushing her out of a car and driving to the amusement park.

I love LA!
A public hanging, burning and disposal at the garbage dump is what a decent civilization would provide its citizens.
Sounds to me like a rejected script for a “reality” TV series.
Knott’s Berry Farm?
Were either of these two girls involved with Tiger Woods?
Dam all these blond blue eyed Swedish teenage girls who commit all these heinous crimes. Why do we let them in our country?
We have created a generation of psychopaths.
I really wish we made more liberal use of the death penalty. My standing position is that the longest possible prison sentence should be 5 years -- and if a crime is so terrible that a mere 5 year sentence would be a grave injustice, then the perp should be executed.
We have a feral population, and I'd like to see it culled.
Two teenage demons you mean, not two teenage girls.
For once, I’m pretty sure the Walt Disney Company is overjoyed that the answer was not
“We’re going to Disneyland!”
Dittos on both of your sentiments.
I can see some liberal judge ruling that no such videotaping be allowed into evidence in the future until the perps have their attorney present.
But the girls sealed their fate when they were left alone in an interrogation room -- with surveillance cameras rolling. In the video they could be seen eating burgers and laughing about the shooting. "Nobody told her (expletive) ass to give us a ride," Cordova says.
Works for me . . .
though I’d kind of like them to have to view weekly . . . a double/split screen set of images of Knotts Berry Farm
and the murder scene/body . . . at least until it began to drive them round the bend more than they already are.
Why do we let them in our country?
To get votes for the communists and because ACORN can only fraud up so many votes.
“Does it include shooting Angelina?” asked prosecutor John Davis.
“Yes,” Wills said. “Anna admitted to shooting Angelina.”
“The baby was sitting in the back seat of the car at this point?” Davis asked.
Yes, the detective replied.
“They didn’t know who lived there,” Wills said.
Salinas told him that she brought the baby to the front porch area, rang the doorbell and left, he said.
“How long was the baby on the front porch before somebody discovered the baby?” Davis asked.
“Around two hours,” the detective replied.
“This baby stayed on the doorstep for about two hours in October,” Davis said.
After leaving the baby, Cordova went to a friend’s house and got “high” while Salinas got something to eat from Jack N the Box with another friend, Wills testified.
Oh yeah, we’re all equal, equal, equal.
Devil’s spawn. These two will now be in the care of the State at a great expense to the taxpayer. In the not too distant future, they will be paroled and let out to kill again.
Los Angeles, “Going Barrio”.
Ya think their going to give the death penalty to two female teens...Hispanics? Not hardly...They should, I agree, but won't happen.
They'll be in their late 70s when they get out, if they survive prison life.
Our system is so f'd up, ya got Mexican murderers killing here, and fleeing into Mexico, and when caught down there, Mexico tells us they won't extradite unless we guarantee there will be no death penalty.
How stupid are we?
HA! JUST AS I THOUGHT! Rogue Swedes.
Apparently you don't realize this crime and these two criminals that were captured almost immediately, had nothing to do with Los Angeles.
Reminds me of all those football commercials but bassackwards.
“Joe Montana, you’ve just won the Superbowl! What are you going to do next?”
“I’m going to Disneyland.”
“Killer girls, you’ve just gone to Disneyland! What are you going to do next?”
“We’re going to Valley State Prison.”
Not quite....:
Judge Dickerson said that, based on the probation officer's report, it appeared Salinas had expected to be released when she is about 40 and to start a family of her own.
"The defendant is sorely mistaken," Dickerson said, adding that she will be "deep into old age" if she ever sees the outside of a prison.
Send them back to Disneyland to ride the Old Sparky Railroad ride. One line, no waiting.
¡Que viva el arcoiris de diversidad!
Nothing to do with LA. That’s a good one. Dude, it didn’t happen in Burlington, Vermont!
OK, I’ll be more precise.
California del Sur, Going Barrio
Try reading the article next....lol
It's only going to get worse.
The shooter was 15 and the other slob was 16 at the time of the murder where the 15-year-old shot the kindly stranger twice in the head after she stopped to pick up her 9-month-old baby.
Both perps will be out before they’re 30. Take that to the bank. Maybe by the time they’re 21. Time heals all wounds, etc.. It’s California.
Two future lesbians now.
Good book.
Not quite....

I dont know bout that.
We'll, that's why I posted what I did, so you would know. lol..
California has some of the toughest criminal sentencing laws in the entire nation...This isn't even debatable, and likely the major factor as to why major cities in California have lower crime rates than most major cities in other other states.
OK, you are just pissing me off now so either get to your point or shut up.
The article is 4 lines, printed in the LA Times, in a column called “LA NOW”. Two hispanic girls murder a hispanic woman to use her car to go to Knotts Berry Farm, which was a wonderful place to play when I was a kid and when I was really young, the devil with the bellows pumping up the volcano kind of scared me.
So in this 4 line article with no detail that is in the LA times, in a column called LA NOW - Southern Califronia, what am I missing that READING THE ARTICLE’S FIVE LINES should have told me?
Are you just in a bad mood and being a jerk or do you actually have a point about something?
lol...
what am I missing
A brain??
Ya think I'm just making all this up? lol...
Try following the links in the story slick, and learn something instead of reading 4 lines in a short story, and thinking you know it all.

You were the same one that thought this crime occurred in LA....lol...
