Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated over $100,000 to an orphan children charity on Christmas.

Called the SOS Children's Villages charity in the US, it is a foster care facility, which enables siblings to stay together during the adoption process, reports contactmusic.com.

"We have seen first-hand the remarkable job SOS does to raise orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together," Jolie said in a statement.

Her partner Pitt said: "In this holiday season, many of us take for granted that we are surrounded by loving family members. The poor outcomes for foster children indicate that we must do a much better job of supporting them."

Good for them. A wonderfully positive thing to do.

I despise these two more than anything; however, it is somewhat redeeming when they find their philanthropic side. Granted $100,000 donation would be akin to a $10 donation from the rest of us working stiffs, yet I won’t scoff at it.

good for them.

while I disagree with every aspect of their politics I respect them for that,

be nice if every hollywood type did the same and gave to the kids in America who have nothing but even more so to the kids who lost mothers and fathers in the wars.

I lost two friends when I was in and it was tragic to see those kids lose their fathers
Maybe Soros with his billions could stop buying this country through politics and give a few mil to kids and wounded vets,

She’s given millions to charities in the past.

Sure - if we got half a million dollars-worth of great publicity for our $10, it would be the same.

I wish more of her Hollyweird friends would take notice of her generosity.

Actually the two of them have cut back their workload tremendously to raise their kids. A producer told Variety that Pitt turned down a $5 million offer to M/C an event in Dubai (like 10 min on stage), so he could go trick or treating with his kids. Jolie hasn't done a major acting role in 2 years. Jim Carrey alone is probably worth twice the two of them combined.

She may be cool and all but she’s still creepy.
Every pic of her sends a shiver down my spine.

Good for them, they seem like they might be coming around. Maybe they’re starting to see that Jon Voight isn’t so wrong after all.

Finally someone sets an example for the loud-mouthed Hollywood left...spend your own money making the world right, not mine.

Me too. Nobody's perfect anyway. Nice thing to do.

Waay off topic but any guess on how much a movie starring her and her father (Voight) would make?

Yes. And they have done their part to undermine the traditional family, and this in the long run causes more harm than whatever they donate. I would be more impressed with their generosity if the contributions were done anonymously.

btw, Taylor Swift has donated in the last half year some $350,000 that I know of.
