google has been my last choice in search engines since mid-July 2008.

At that time I watched in horror as they "disappeared" half a million hits on image searched for "obama birth certificate".

By July 17^th that search had only 50,000 hits. Few of which were actual birth certificates, fewer still (like maybe 3 in the first 500 hits) were obama's alleged certificate. Images of bowls of fruit scored higher.

YouTube also spiked this story. Yesterday the suggestion at the top of the list for Baucus was “DRUNK”.

We were not saying it disappeared from search results, only that it disappeared from the "AJAX" suggestion box which appears when Google is loaded in your browser (not using the Google toolbar or browser search) and you begin typing. Auto-generated suggestions based upon search frequency appear in a drop-down list below your typing.

Yesterday, before you got the first three letters of Baucus's name typed in, the word "DRUNK" appeared at the top of the list. Today it is GONE.

These suggestions continue to appear as you type in Bush D...
