H1N1, right up there with AGW, and Y2K as the biggest scientific/technological scams of the past 10 years.
Talk about a man made disaster - whomever started the H1N1 scare tactic should be imprisoned. Neither I, nor my daughter will ever have that vaccine.
I had a sister-in-law who had G-B many years ago. A very scary disease. She made a full recovery, but it took many months.
For grins and giggles you should read The Great Infuenza before you make stupid comments.
Sorry for being blunt.
For grins and giggles you should learn about the influence of war conditions to spread disease under virtually primitive medical conditions, as well as the illigitimacy of drawing incongruent etiological comparisons across generalized infectious strains, and... oh yeah, how about just checking the news reports every few months, too? Sorry for being blunt.
Treatment is known (there are two treatments) and if detected early enough 100% recovery is possible.
A relative had it as a result of surgery. But she swore she'd dance at her daughter's wedding, 6 months later, and she did.
Thank you Talisker. Its ashame that people can’t learn to see out of the box before they jump all over someone’s post.
Happy New Year!
More likely to be struck by lightening or be in a car accident.
We have a family member who has been fighting H1N1 since October. It is a tough fight. She was placed into an induced coma for a month. Since then she has declined little by little. The prognosis is not good.

I’ve had both happen to me...
Well that’s a lot higher percentage than for swine flu on the whole US population.
Now that sucks. So I really don’t want to be riding with you during a rain storm .... or maybe better yet you are the ideal candidate. Hmmm must ponder this
The H1N1 comes with its own risks. I had it for 4 days and nearly died. Ended up with pneumonia, which I still have. I am not saying the vaccine is good, by ANY means, but H1N1 is NO HYPE.
H1N1 can mess you up badly.

How is your family member doing? We have a friend in Poland just now recovering after being on life support and in the hospital before Christmas and just now going home as a result of the A/H1N1. He’s a young man in his 30’s otherwise healthy before this.
