By Bill Sammon FOXNews.com The House speaker suggests to "FOX News Sunday" that the law might compel Democrats to press forth on some prosecutions of Bush administration officials, saying they may not "have a right to ignore" them. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is receptive to the idea of prosecuting some Bush administration officials, while letting others who are accused of misdeeds leave office without prosecution, she told Chris Wallace in an interview on "FOX News Sunday." "I think you look at each item and see what is a violation of the law and do we even have a right to ignore it," the California Democrat said. "And other things that are maybe time that is spent better looking to the future rather than to the past." Rep. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, announced Friday he wants to set up a commission to look into whether the Bush administration broke the law by taking the nation to war against Iraq and instituting aggressive anti-terror initiatives. The Michigan Democrat called for an "independent criminal probe into whether any laws were broken in connection with these activities." President-elect Barack Obama has not closed off the possibility of prosecutions, but hinted he does not favor them. "I don't believe that anybody is above the law," he told ABC News a week ago. "On the other hand, I also have a belief that we need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards." Pelosi, during the interview in her ceremonial office, said there is merit in both arguments. "I don't think that Mr. Obama and Mr. Conyers are that far apart," she said. "There are different subjects and you treat them differently."

Now that a year of O-bugger's presidency is up, I think some of that zeal for prosecutions has worn off.
1. Obum's ratings are down in the dumps.
2. His so called healing touch has failed miserably, and terror incidents have exploded all over the US. He looks like a fool, who doesnt know what hes doing and wants to give terrorists comfort.
3. International relations are a shambles, with the British Queen, Sarkozy, and god knows who else ticked off. Meanwhile, O-gonzaga's been bowing to a variety of oriental and middle eastern potentiates, making himself look stupid.
4. Hes had to increase troop numbers in A-stan.
I think Pelonki and others have come to realise, that being president of America isnt about having taken one course in "International Relations" in some liberal hippy professors classroom, and that the world respects the strong. I.E., not them.
Then it’ll be time to prosecute all the traitor Dems after they lose Congress. They’re violating their oaths of office and committing treason.
When do we prosecute Charlie Rangel?
Better hurry up, Nancy, you won’t be Speaker much longer...
obama is learning the hard way - ie. by his own actions instead of from the experiences of others - that appeasement does not work.
Here's a little heads up odumber: appeasement does not work, never has worked in all of recorded human history.
Another heads up for odumber: give it up, you won't be the first to make appeasement work, no matter how narcissistic and taken with yourself you are, the rest of the world isn't.
Oh, and I forgot:
5. His so called “Secret Plan” to revive the economy has crashed and burned. Unemployment is up, up, up.
So I think the Peoples Pelosi has to give up her pipe dreams for more important issues at hand.
Finding the ‘Truth’ is the furthest thing from that woman’s mind.
I would not shed a tear if any of these Libtards stopped breathing, starting with Pelosi and her Minions.
The South wanted nothing to do with the taxing penalties from Washington, nor did they want trade being governed by Washington. They separated and told the Washington Fed to leave. They were then attacked. The South had no desire to take over the North.
It was not a civil war
I want Sarah Palin in 2013 when she is elected President(God willing) to prosecute the Obama Administration for putting America at risk on a daily basis and acting like a bunch of pricks..how does that sound Nancy
The Great War of Northern Agression.
Yep! Just let us be didn’t sit well with the money changers.
I am sure that after all the wrong toes these people have stepped on in the last year that some interesting “leaks” may pop up in the near future.
Keep pushing Pelosi, you puss filled skank.
Do the socialists really want a civil war? They seem to be trying to start one.
The Dems have already been talking about a "Don't go back to the way it was when Republicans were in charge" campaign. This will be a powerful addition to that.
He probably realizes that if they can do this to the former Bush administration officials, we can do this to former Obama administration officials.
When do we prosecute Charlie Rangel?
My bet is that about 3 months from now they will make a statement that Charlie just made a few mistakes and nothing illegal happened, and give him a warning not to let it happen again.
Nothing wil happen to Charlie.
Hey John Conyers I would worry more about keeping your own wife out of jail. (Monica, his wife, a Detroit City Councel member was convicted of taking a bribe)
