Celebrating its 20-year anniversary and 450th episode, The Simpsons stands alone. Of course, it's a splendid isolation as, officially, the longest-running prime-time show in television history and, unofficially, as the most successful and influential creation in pop culture history. Simply put, The Simpsons has changed the world we live in.

It’s been interesting and fun so far...
Think I’ll keep my record intact.
Zero for 450.
Don’t have a cow, man.
Mine is 450 for 450
Hilarious stuff. You have to just laugh sometimes at absurdity, we all identify with SOMEONE on the show. Matt, COngrats, do a few more years!
It’s okay. You are not the only person in the world that doesn’t understand satire.
Click around on the television. I’m sure The Three Stooges are on somewhere.
Because it is a cartoon it gets away with a lot of PC stuff..
It is funny..
LOL Nothing to get worked up over.
Besides, Have Gun Will Travel is more my speed.
Love the Simpsons! Peter and Lois are awesome! (Ducking)
MOST people don’t get satire. It’s a very, very sad disease. I’m hoping Obamacare will take care of it (really).
I’m more of a South Park girl.
Says you.
There is no accounting for taste. OTOH, the Three Stooges is good stuff.
What is this show called the Lib-sons’?
Stupid tv! Be more funny!
I haven’t watched the Simpson’s in years. Back in the early to mid 90’s it was my favorite show. I can recall being in the North Carolina Mountains and I could only pick it up on a tiny portable TV by walking around until I found a spot where the reception was good.
I didn’t make a conscious decision to quit watching it. It just got to where it wasn’t very good anymore. Some day I will check in again. Maybe it has gotten good again.
Marshal Dillon will not be pleased.......;o)
Simpsons is great fun !
Same here, and I don’t find anything worthy of wasting my time watching on television either. It’s a wasteland period IMO, so don’t watch it at all.
I feel sorry for those that are stuck with nothing to do except watch the damned tv.
Read a book, or make something in ones creative workshop, be it on the back porch, or in a spare room, or in the garage. It’s amazing what one can do besides waste time watching the damned television with all of its outright Leftist propaganda, and Leftist sleight-of-hand subliminal messaging. Especially the alleged news programs.
Count me in on that too. Zero interest.
I watched it years ago and i noticed they could get away with stuff because it was a cartoon..
It was not Pc and it was from that upstart channel Fox and look what has happened, Fox rules.
Check out South Park, these guys went onto make the classic Team America,F yeah
I have loved watching the Simposons these last 20 years. Some seasons not so good but they have been funnier lately.AWB
I stopped following The Simpsons some years back. I don’t have anything against the show, I just felt the overall quality started slipping and it wasn’t as funny as previous years. (I’m sure there are those who disagree rather strongly on that point - c’est la vie).
Of course, I’m also of the opinion that if there were any justice in the television world, The Critic would now be in its 15th or so season. :-)
Really Awesome. The Three Stooges WITH CARS!
I’m also a fan of Top Gear..
I give them 20 more years. then they are done. I don’t think kids watch them anymore. It’s the 30 to 50 crowd now. And our days are numbered.
They said that about Star Wars...
Slainte..
I never watch the primetime airings, but I do watch the re-runs late at night while dozing off.... only because it came on right after King of the Hill.
My 12 year twins (boy&girl) and all of their friends are die-hard Simpson fans. It has caught on with the next generation.
Any examples?
You know those things aren’t mutually exclusive, I knocked down 200 pages of reading while watching the games yesterday. It’s funny how addicted to assumptions the anti-TV people are.
Must’ve been a great game.
They were fine games, but I’m a multi-tasking guy. I watch TV and read, or watch TV and play video games, or watch TV and FReep, or listen to music and do the above, or maybe none of the above. Which is my point, you assume that just because somebody watches that’s all they do, and we all know about assume.
