Here is graphic raw video showing the devastation in Haiti caused by a powerful 7.0 Earthquake that struck the country today, centered near the capital city of Port-Au-Prince. The video shows the catastrophic results to buildings and life.
At around the 1:20 mark of the video, you see the Presidential Palace which suffered major damage. We are undoubtedly only beginning to see the proportions of this disaster in the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. . . . (VIDEO)

That presidential palace is no longer a palace. Wow.
This is a glimpse of US health care under the control of the federal government.
Looked pretty well destroyed.
Will only get worse...wait for the violence to begin.
My prayers to Haiti.
Prayers going up!
The U N occupation force in Haiti has 9000 soldiers.
I hope when the donations start pouring in they are passed along without thievery. These people need every penny.
U.S. government should allow private businesses to hire Americans out of work to work in Haiti - tax-free.
A small contingency of U.S. troops should be sent to protect the workers and restore order
In exchange for rebuilding Haiti, U.S. should be allowed to lease a 1,000-square mile beachfront property for U.S. citizen retirement purposes....
“Will only get worse...wait for the violence to begin.’
I just hope they can keep the thuggery under control but I doubt it. Just a bad situation all around.
BUMP for a post that makes too much sense, and thus will be totally ignored by all but sensible people, of which there are but a few.
Thanks BenLurkin...I hadn’t realized it was that many troops, good news.
What has all of the money we poured into Haiti over the last 100 years bought?? We have literally paid for every single building in Haiti at least five or six times over, only to have everything collapse in an earthquake. The reason the death toll is so high (and going higher) is because of the extremely poor construction of the buildings that collapsed.
Magnitude 7 quakes are devastating but they are even worse in third world dives like Haiti where building codes are non-existent despite hundreds of billions in foreign aid invested in the Country for decades. We don’t suffer this many deaths in earthquakes because we have learned a thing or two along the way on how to properly construct buildings. One would think we had exported that technology along with all of our tax dollars, but apparently not.
yah, I know I sound callous, but one would think that for the billions we have wasted on Haiti over the decades, that at least our money could have been spent building something that would not collapse like this, and that we could have prevented a lot of deaths.
The US, UN and innumerable foreign countries have tried to turn Haiti around on many levels, and tonight we see the results.
You know .... just as when the natural disasters hit Central America it will become open season for Haitian migration to the US.
And they will all be legal.
So you’re pimping your blog with someone else’s video so you can profit from the quake in Haiti?
Go to hell.
Pay no attention to Mr. High and Mighty. He’s spent the whole day moralizing to everyone on the board.
Whoever this “Mr. High and Mighty” is, I bet he’s not exploiting the work product of others to cash in on the death of thousands.
If you’re looking up, it might just be because you’re in a sewer.
