Bristol Palin wants Levi Johnston to step up as a dad and pay her some of the money he's raked in from his naked media blitz.
Court documents were filed by Bristol's lawyer Wednesday in Alaska, demanding $1,750 a month from Levi, retroactive to the birth of son Tripp on December 27, 2008.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Bristol believes Levi has pulled in "in excess of $105,000 in 2009 through various media interviews and modeling related activities."

At $105,000/yr., that's $8,750/mo., so $1,750/mo. is only twenty percent on a pre-tax basis.
Johnston is young and, judging by the fact that he hasn't gone to college, probably largely debt-free.
$7,000/mo. on a pre-tax basis is a heckuva lot of cash flow for someone with little or no debts.
It's the pre-tax part that's the killer - after tax, it's probably closer to 35%, just doing the math in my head. And, let's get serious, Levi Johnston is never going to see that much money again.

Sex with Bristol is a double edged sword.
I find both of their behavior to be unsavory. While I do not blame Sarah for it, my gut tells me she should have been at home taking care of her kids instead of running the state of Alaska.

Bristol would do well to keep Levi far away from the baby for the foreseeable future, and forget about the child support. Bristol’s mama can easily afford to pay the tab, and her inattentiveness to her own parenting duties is largely responsible for Bristol’s unfortunate predicament. Having scummy Levi around demanding regular visitation just worsens the predicament, and if nobody’s bugging him to pay, I doubt he’d bother asking for visitation. The Palins need to learn to cut their losses.
I don't really care which parent does what, but at least *one* of them needs to make sure their minor teenage daughter isn't sleeping around with the druggie, scummy teenage boys. Neither of the Palins were attending to this duty.

Yup. Levi Johnston’s stock tanked after Scott Brown killed ObamaCare. I think the insane libs may realize the Levi bashing of Sarah schtick is well beyond weary and not very effective. Levi pretty much spilled his guts with all the stories he had or made up.
Levi will probably have a very unhappy life.

I think they already tried that. Levi isn’t going to give him up because the day is coming, soon, where he’ll be getting child support from her.

Give me a break ! You can be a stay at home Mom or you can be the Governor of Alaska. If your child decides to have sex while you believe they’re at the movies, they win (and ultimately lose).

Wrong ! In the majority of states he/she gets visitation regardless of whether they’ve met their support payments.
