It's been strange up here for a while. There is no better weather than summer in Seattle and last year was the absolute finest. The thing that has struck me this fall and winter has been the timing of the rain; we had some regular rain, but rather than having rainy days separated by drizzly days, they've been sunny! Yesterday was beautiful. I live in Pugetopolis but I also have a place near Blewett Pass so I spend quite a bit of time in the mountains. There can't be much more than 4 feet of snow on Snoqualmie - I did a little research and found they've had 157” fall - a bit over a third of the average. At my cabin I have less than a foot - it's on the dry side of the Cascades but I should at least have a couple of feet by now.

The Pineapple Express went down to California, that’s what happened... :-)
And that does happen in cycles. I don’t know if we’re in an El Nino type of situation now, but that’s typically what happens up there with an El Nino with the Pineapple Express going south and then California getting slammed (by what would normally be going on up in the Pacific Northwest).
