Sons of Confederate Veterans have a role in modern America

The Sons of Confederate Veterans (S.C.V.) is a fraternal organization composed of male descendents of the men who served in the Confederate Armed Forces during the War for Southern Independence. Their emblems include the controversial Confederate battle flag. Their core responsibility is articulated in a charge given to them by Lt. General Stephen D. Lee which calls on them to defend the heritage, honor, and reputation of the Confederate soldier and the Cause they fought for.

The Cause they fought for was individual liberty, state's rights, the original Constitution and the right to secede. In essence, Confederates fought an aggressive Union which would not allow the states to exercise an accepted right of secession. This right had been exercised by all the original states when they withdrew from the government of the Articles of Confederation, and entered the present day United States of America. Further, the Tenth Amendment reserved all powers not addressed in the Constitution to the States and people respectively. And lastly, the new union was formed as each individual state entered the union.

“Attempted insults” is right. Most of the Lost Causers seem to occupy a level of wit that makes Larry the Cable Guy sound like part of the Algonquin Round Table.

The non-sensical, bubba hoe temp version of the Algonquin Round Table is commonly know as the Circle Jerk.

Southern leaders in Congress today are the problem rather than the solution.

Once again you've shown us who you really are: a big government communist.

It's well know that you hate all things about the South. Your hatred is sick and sickening to the rest of us.

It's unfortunate that you and your beloved northern leaders (Kerry, Schumer, Dodd, Frank, Weiner, Biden, Obama, Clinton, et al) can't go off and create the communist heaven that you dream of.

Once again you've shown you had no idea what you're talking about.

It's well know that you hate all things about the South. Your hatred is sick and sickening to the rest of us.

And it's well known you hate the United States and all things concerned with that. So what else is new?

It's unfortunate that you and your beloved northern leaders (Kerry, Schumer, Dodd, Frank, Weiner, Biden, Obama, Clinton, et al) can't go off and create the communist heaven that you dream of.

Something that would be more in keeping with Jeff Davis' confederacy than Abe Lincoln's U.S.

It wasn’t a rebellion. It was a war for freedom like the war of 1776-81

You're going to have to put up or shut up on that statement, twinkletoes.

Here's the deal, you show where I've ever made a post stating that I hate the United States or you leave FR forever. (your pathetic attempts at spin and lying aren't going to work this time, boy)

Something that would be more in keeping with Jeff Davis' confederacy than Abe Lincoln's U.S.

The fact that you even posted that proves, once again, that you are one desperately stupid assclown.

It wasn’t a rebellion.

Sure it was.

It was a war for freedom like the war of 1776-81

Well for 2/3rds of your population anyway.

Your words speak for themselves.

Here's the deal, you show where I've ever made a post stating that I hate the United States or you leave FR forever. (your pathetic attempts at spin and lying aren't going to work this time, boy)

If you will show where I've ever said I hate the South.

The fact that you even posted that proves, once again, that you are one desperately stupid assclown.

And by that statement alone you show your abysmal ignorance of the history of your blessed confederacy. But abysmal ignorance is very much the cowboy way.

Well when you can’t rebut your opponent on the facts resulting to petty insults is always an interesting strategy.

Not particularly interesting, really. The Lost Causers seem to resort to it too early and without enough imagination to really be successful at it. Their insults are mostly stuck in the realm of homophobia and scatology. I guess if that's what's on their minds, though, that's what comes out.

At least not as bad as the lynchings and ghettoizing the northrons did. The difference, we got over it.

Back up your statement or go away forever. Just to refresh your memory:"And it's well known you hate the United States and all things concerned with that."--non-sequitur from post #66

Now back it up or leave, big boy.

Back up your statement or go away forever.

You are about the last person around here to complain about others not backing up statements.

Now back it up or leave, big boy.

No, I think I'll stick with my opinion and I'll also stick around for a while longer. I'm having too much fun with clowns like you.

Once again, NS has made a statement that he can't back up but yet, he doesn't have the integrity to admit it and in fact, based on this statement, "I'm having too much fun with clowns like you.", he is nothing more than a self-righteous troll.

And once again for you to complain about a lack of integrity in others is about as hypocritical as you can get.

See ya around the next Lost Cause thread.

At least not as bad as the lynchings and ghettoizing the northrons did.

So southern lynchings of blacks were somehow better than northern lynchings? Maybe it's because they had more practice. Of 3446 lynchings of blacks between 1882 and 1968 catalogued by the Tuskegee Institute, 3029 took place in the eleven states that made up the confederacy.

And are you seriously going to argue that blacks in southern cities didn't live in ghettos?
