Tiger Woods could be out of sex rehab and back on the links in two weeks, an Australian newspaper reported Wednesday.
Woods is "poised to make a shock return to competitive golf" in the upcoming Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, according to the Herald Sun of Melbourne, which did not cite a source.
The top spokesman for the PGA Tour would not confirm the Herald Sun story.
"We have no comment," Ty Votaw said.
Still, if true, this would mark the first time Woods competed in a golf tournament since the sex scandal that ruined his good-guy reputation exploded around Thanksgiving.

Tainted and always will remain tainted.
They tried to make me go to rehab but I said ‘no, no, no’
Yes I’ve been black but when I come back you’ll know know know
I ain’t got the time and if my daddy thinks I’m fine
He’s tried to make me go to rehab but I won’t go go go
Tiger Woods playing in a golf tournament is “shocking”?
For every putt, from the Gallery, "Aminal House"-esque ramblings of "Bxxx Jxx"!
When Tiger comes out of seclusion, and if he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of great Tiger jokes.
Exactly. As far as I can tell, Bill Clinton was still the President after his many dalliances were exposed. Unless I am mistaken, Woods couldn’t be blackmailed for much more than his own marriage and perhaps some Nike gear.
Sex rehab?
WTF is sex rehab? Are there really places that are supposed to ‘cure’ one’s urge for sex?
Who would want that, for pete’s sake!
People used to feel ashamed of bad things they did and tried to stay out of the limelight. How times have changed.
“What a zoo this that will be.”
I can’t believe he wouldn’t return at Arnie’s and then play Augusta...they both would put their places in lockdown.
He’ll need the $$$$ to make his alimony payments.
seems like the best place to be if he relapses.
Methinks somebody from the PGA went to Tiger on his hands and knees begging for Tiger to come back.
I guess he’s regained control of his putts (yes...I know how it’s spelled...it’s a pun, you see).

“Make shock return.” What is that about? Has he been receiving electric shock therapy as part of rehab?
Will he get a jolt of electricity in a strategic spot before the golf match? If so, how might that affect his swing?
Shocking! Ouch!
NO! The game of golf transcends Tiger Woods. One of the big problems with golf today is the idiots in the gallery shouting “You ‘da man”. Golf is a gentleman’s game, and if people don’t know how to be gentleman, then they have no place at the table. Sorry, but this 66 year old who played golf at 8 has no use for jerks.
Tiger Woods was the man my wife and I followed. He was good for the game. He brought a lot of people to an interest for the game. While we’ve lost our respect for Tiger as a man, we haven’t lost our respect for the game. So we won’t be cheering Tiger on at his return. Perhaps someday, when he shows he’s a changed man, but not now.
However, to demean golf, to show it’s just as shallow a spectator sport as any other is wrong. It’s the one arena where people are expected to act as adults. If we as conservatives expect the right to rule this nation, then this is one small area we can show we deserve that right. It’s called adulthood.
I bet he’s looking forward to getting the big stick out of therapy and back into the game.
He still needs another five ‘hos to complete his course.

Best Post of the thread.
He’s out already? Time to hit the clubs..
Too bad he’s not a democrap politician—if he was -— he would have never left the game because everything he did would have been OK.
I guess you've never been to a tournament. The crowds are way too classy for that.
ML/NJ
I will never watch the freak again.
Detroit Lion Joe Schmidt - Life is a shit sandwich and everyday you have to take a bite. Welcome back soon Tiger but be prepared to bite the sandwich you constructed.
It’s a 12 step program like AA
Step one; they shave all the hair off your palms.
Yeah, but the more bread you have, the less $hit you have to taste.
We live in an amoral world....
When he comes back on tour the audience will be huge and many who watch will no nothing about the game.
Can he concentrate is another question?? God sometimes works in mysterious ways.
He can find his putter.
But his balls seem to be missing.
Maybe Tiger is looking to meet the gals attending such.
It is because he thinks that it is all better now that he has been rehabbed. Hasn’t he been told since he was a little boy that he’s special and no one can tell him no?
That kind of change today when Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus both more or less said we don’t care how much bread you have the game is bigger than Tiger Woods and Tiger better wake up to that fact.
Played at Sun City Vistoso a couple decades ago (it had just opened IIRC). We stayed at a Hilton, or whatever, somewhat near there which only had a 9 hole course at the time. They arranged our annual ‘tournament’ for us at Sun City. That’s been my only outing in Tucson, but I’ve played the Wigwam many times. I love desert golf. It’s a real change from here in the Midwest.
If Tiger ‘relapses’, Tucson entertainment may not be able to contain him :)
I find nothing classy about morons who yell “get in the hole!” while standing around the green.
Jees ... It was sarcasm, a joke, kind of a wry bit of humor. Lighten up!
“I find nothing classy about morons who yell get in the hole! while standing around the green.”
A perfect fit for Tiger.
only problem is, which one!
Rehab is for quitters...
