Cauldera Busting out at the bottom maybe could have been caused from a slight shift in Yellowstone !

Dose a Volcano inhale before it spits ?

Wasn’t Eureka the closest city for the earthquake last month that was in the 5’s?

The Mendocino Triple Junction. Three tectonic plates meet. Lots of quakes.

SAN FRANCISCO, USA: The famous sea lions of San Francisco have disappeared. Scientists are baffled after the creatures, which have inhabited pier 39 at the fisherman’s wharf for 20 years, deserted their home. Only 20 seals from the original 1,500 remain.

I heard that everything east of the San Andreas would slide off into the ocean.

That would be nearly the entire U.S.

No matter, we are all going to die. Yellowstone is going to blow, the entire ring of fire will "fire", tornados, tsunami's, earthquakes, comets, meteors, aliens, and supernovas. Its over, were are so screwed.

San Francisco Pier 39 sea lions disappear

Many visitorsto San Francisco stop by Pier 39 to watch the frolicking sea lions. Last month, some 1,500 of the marine mammals entertained visitors with their antics. In fact there were so many this year that they started using the nearby Hyde Street Pier. But right after Thanksgiving, most of the sea lions disappeared without a trace. After this record high number of animals at the pier, only a very small number remained –around ten juveniles. This large of an exodus is not typical, especially at this time of year. Sea lion numbers normally peak in fall. They typically stay through winter with many heading south in summer.

The ten that remain is enough to keep some Pier 39 visitors happy but is nothing like the mass herd that was here during the last couple of months, when they were stacked three and four deep. Jeff Boehm, Executive Director of the Marine Mammal Center which runs an info center at the pier, thinks the sea lions left in pursuit of their favorite foods – anchovies and sardines. Boehm suspects they’ll come back but nothing’s for sure. The sea lions appeared mysteriously at Pier 39 back in late 1989.....

Is it possible the sea lions sensed the coming earth quakes of this week and moved for that reason??

Posted by: Nikki Ker | 01/10/2010 at 06:06 PM

That’s a really interesting thought Nikki. If they come back relatively soon perhaps that is why. I’ll be curious to know when they return! Post a comment here if you live in the Bay Area and you read that they’ve returned :)

In a hundred million years LA will be directly west of San Francisco.

Natural gerrymandering.

The west side of the fault is sliding north and breaking off from the mainland. In a hundred million years LA will be directly west of San Francisco.

How convenient. One of Shrieker Pelosi's descendants can provide ALL of the freaks with proper representation.

The sea lions camped out in PIER 39’s West Marina have been endearingly coined, “Sea Lebrities.” The boisterous barking pinnipeds started arriving in droves, taking over the docks in January 1990 shortly after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
