No not everyone will die only those who live to the west of it and all the way to Illinios will be gone from the gases and or feet of ash the further east you go the less ash. Those of us who have been hording food should be ok. I have an old hand crank sewing machine and my hubby would no longer ever complan about the yards and yards of fabric I have stashed if we needed to make as many blankets as we had to to stay warm during the volcanic winter that would stay for about a year and 1/2.
Now that is positive thinking.
My Mother and her Sister made lots of Quilts on their Singer Treadle Sewing machines...
