LONG HILL - A Basking Ridge man was arrested for DWI after hitting a liquor truck outside a Stirling wine store, police said today.
Robert J. Kiesel, 50, was charged with DWI by Bernards Township police.
The accident took place around 1:30 p.m. Jan. 29 outside Stirling Fine Wines on Valley Road. Kiesel allegedly crashed his blue Ford sport utility vehicle into a parked truck owned by Vintage Spirits of Bristol, Pa. and then left the parking lot, Long Hill Police Chief Dan Hedden said.
The truck driver followed Kiesel to Sycamore Court in Basking Ridge and pointed Kiesel out to Bernards police, Bernards Detective Lt. Edward Reese said.
