Liberia is a country, formerly made up of freed American slaves, which has descended into a hell on earth.
That series is INTENSE..! I have seen the whole thing —really has to be seen to be believed.

Well Liberia was always poor but it was stable for most all of its history until the Africans took over in 1980.
Looking at the last 400 years, most countries are countries only in name. OTOH, America prospers, and, we have reasonable expectations that when we go to sleep at night, our lives and property are secure.
