Suit claims birth control warning not enough

Dozens of women claim in lawsuits filed in Indianapolis that they suffered strokes, gall bladder disease, and other serious health effects from the birth control pills Yaz and Yasmin. The maker of those contraceptives is Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Bayer claims the drugs not only prevent pregnancy, but also treat extreme irritability and moderate acne. But plaintiffs say the drugs have serious side-effects. You may have seen the commercials featuring attractive young women talking about birth control pills with the hip youthful names.

yeah something is up, because a whole bunch of lawyers have been running ads looking for women who took Yaz and suffered serious health effects including death(!!). They’re definitely fixing to sue. Not sure how the dead gals will fare.

You are missing the point, free love and all of that..
The pill gave women freedom to have many sexual partners and not worry about that pesky thing of becoming pregnant..
It backfires and now they sue, because they took a drug so that they could F**k around without consequences..
Karma is a bitch..

35% of women have negative side effects from “the pill”.
So, when deprovera went through clinical trials, do you suppose they used a “control group” of women who’d never taken “the pill”?
No, that would have been objective science.
They used women who had been on the pill.
Then, they decided that 35% negative side effects was acceptable, and approved it.
But wait a minute!
The “control group” was comprised of the 65% of women who did not have negative side effects from “the pill”.....then, 35% of THAT group (23) have negative side effects, and the FDA allows its use?!?!
Why should we be surprised about Yaz?
Wait until the “morning after pill” develops a little more history......
Oh....Is BREAST CANCER a “negative side effect”?

So what about women who are married and take the pill because they choose not to risk having children right away?

Maybe they should think of other options that does not involve added chemicals to the female body.

True. However, it's her choice to take that risk.

I'm with you, though, this is stupid to blame someone else for the risk that they knowingly took.
