Turner Classic 31 Days of Oscar interview compares Oscar to Medal of Honor

Watching TCM this morning - One of the 31 days of Oscar promos talks about the Oscar being like the Medal of Honor.

And many soldiers die in the course of their tour of things like traffic accidents, etc. They don't get the cmoh.

No but the media celebrated their deaths and blamed GW Bush for those deaths anyway with the "Iraq war dead" list.

You have to go down the list a ways to find the first combat death.

They got so desperate one time (the list was compiled by antiwar groups, not our military, which just releases details of every demise) that they included a woman who died crossing the highway in Kansas. She was later purged from some variations of "the list".

I really appreciate the old school actors who were/are patriots, but the person comparing the Medal to an oscar was trying to equate them, not just point out similarities.
I am a TCM fan, which is why I was disappointed.
