One cost more than £200 million, took eight years to film using the spectacular scenery of New Zealand and won 17 Oscars. The other cost £25,000, was filmed over a year in muddy English locations, and has not been nominated for any awards. But for Lord Of The Rings trilogy fanatic Kate Madison, filming a prequel was the purest form of art - a labour of love.

I just spent the last hour or so watching this thing.
I own the LOTR Extended Version DVD set with all the bells & whistles. This production was incredibly well-done, professional, and worthy of the LOTR universe. My hat is off to Ms. Madison and crew for the OUTSTANDING job done with this film.
I recommend this to any FReeper who is a fan of “The Lord of the Rings”.

Yep. It’s a normal amount of snow for Ohio this time of year. All that global warming breaking out is nonetheless very chilly here.
