Did Brzezinski invent the tri-lateral commission?
email ^ | 02/13/2010 | Zbigniew Brzezinski

Posted on 02/13/2010 5:51:27 AM PST by omega4179

The Trilateral Commission was founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller with Zbigniew Brzezinski as executive director, after Brzezinski published Between Two Ages, which became the blueprint for the TC. David read and appreciated his ideas, which included,

“Though Stalinism may have been a needless tragedy for both the Russian people and communism as an ideal, there is the intellectually tantalizing possibility that for the world at large it was, as we shall see, a blessing in disguise.”

“Marxism represents a further vital and creative stage in the maturing of man’s universal vision. Marxism is simultaneously a victory of the external man over the inner, passive man and a victory of reason over belief.”

“Such a society would be dominated by an elite whose claim to political power would rest on allegedly superior scientific know-how. Unhindered by the restraints of traditional liberal values, this elite would not hesitate to achieve its political ends by the latest modern techniques for influencing public behavior and keeping society under close surveillance and control.”

“The Soviet Union could have emerged as the standard-bearer of this century’s most influential system of thought and as the social model for resolving the key dilemmas facing modern man.”

There you have it, now 30+ years later we have a president who believes his system of thought is the social model for resolving the key dilemmas of ...unions and east coast intellectuals.

Not sure what book this is excerpted from. update, supposedly from brzezinksi's book "between two ages"

On the cult of personality in politics

"Persisting social crisis, the emergence of a charismatic personality, and the exploitation of mass media to obtain public confidence would be the steppingstones in the piecemeal transformation of the United States into a highly controlled society." p97

“Western thinking has become conservative:
the world situation should stay as it is at any cost;
there should be no changes. ....
The communist regime in the East could stand and grow due to the enthusiastic support
from an enormous number of Western intellectuals who felt a kinship and refused to see
communism's crimes. And when they no longer could do so, they tried to justify them. In
our Eastern countries, communism has suffered a complete ideological defeat; it is zero
and less than zero. But Western intellectuals still look at it with interest and with
empathy, and this is precisely what makes it so immensely difficult for the West to
withstand the East.”
[Dr. Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn at the Commencement,
8 June 1978, Harvard University]

Ummm..., well some people don't like "documentation" and prefer to post spam e-mails, instead... LOL...

And it looks like a classic "bait and switch" to me... :-)

Info Wars???

You're relying on anything from Alex Jones, for information??

Isn't InforWars.com the center of the utterly discredited "911 Truthers" movement?

It looks like you should have spent a bit more time preparing on this post... instead of "rushing out" some spam e-mail you just received an hour ago... :-)

That's the only way "InfoWars.com" can get anyone to listen to them... by sending out spam e-mails... LOL...

I think that “email” pretty much sums it up, especially if one has no spam filter.

If somebody Brzezinski loved, cherished and truly, personally loved--near and dear to him--were to be feed slowly, feet first into some kind of huge grinding piece of Soviet industrial factory equipment, slicing this person up slowly while they screamed for mercy, at the same time, nearby laughing Soviet guards made B/W handheld 8mm movies of the macabre spectacle to show GRU recruits to scare the crap out of them from defecting to the corrupt West, then maybe, just maybe this Zbig character would not make such light-handed and foolish statements about Stalinism for that is surely what it was to hundreds if not thousands of people as they met these deaths and their families cried.

Same old crap. Same with this Obama PhD crowd.

These naive, Western elites are always able to write coldly, detached from and devoid of such abject horrors, because after all they are heartless academics, but they would sure change their predictable high-falluting, Ivy League think tank tune about COMMUNISM and extreme communism such as that of Stalinism, were they personally forced to see and experience the reality of it, first hand. As it is, they would not think twice about having cocktails and a rarified-atmospheric debate, polite and all that, with the likes of Beria and Mao and Pol Pot in a privileged, member's only salon somewhere.

From Ziggie’s book: The Grand Chessboard

Remember that government and military leaders often think of politics like a chess game. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your own pieces in order to win the game. Zbigniew Brzezinski, former U.S. National Security Advisor and co-founder of the Trilateral Commission, titled his 1998 book The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives. In this seminal book on American foreign policy, Brzezinksi states that because of popular resistance to U.S. military expansionism, his ambitious strategy for “American global primacy” can’t be implemented “except in the circumstance of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat.” (The Grand Chessboard, page 211).
