A Hamilton woman was attacked by a dog Wednesday, and she is hoping the owner comes forward because she believes the dog is still on the loose. Stacy Martin was lucky-doctors at Fort Hamilton hospital say the animal just missed an artery in her left leg during the attack yesterday afternoon.
Martin went to visit a friend on North Eleventh Street. She got out of her car and turned to lock the door when she was attacked by the dog. The dog bit her ankle and went for her face. Martin pushed the dog away and that's when the dog sank its teeth into her thigh. A friend helped Martin escape the dog.
The animal was last seen running down North Hamilton. Martin says she didn't get a good look at the animal but she thinks it is a black lab with a red collar.
