According to the report, the victim alleges that Officer Craig Nash picked him her up on the morning of February 25, handcuffed him her, told him her to lie down in the back of the car, then drove him her to another location and sexually assaulted him her before dropping him her off.
Well, which was it originally: a him or a her? My better-than-though web filter of righteousness won’t allow viewing of the page of nasty behind the link. ;-D
And yes, it matters. Forcible sodomy is worse than rape.
Oops...better-than-thou, even. ;-)
MPLS was thrilled when their Police Chief wasn’t rehired and went to San Antonio...
(Note: headline and story updated as of February 28—headline changed from “transgender man” to “transgender woman.” See latest update at the end of this story.)
as of February 28: the victim is, in fact, a trans woman and was misidentified by San Antonio media.)
Does this clarify it?
Doesn’t matter to me if it was a him her or not. Someone doesn’t become fair game for a sexual assault simply because they are transgendered.
My Grandfather used the word shim. Maybe that’s spelled shem.
Nothing excuses a sexual assault. If this happened, the perp needs to go away for a very, very long time.
That the victim is an emotionally disturbed person with a gender-identity disorder, makes it even more messed up. Sortof like taking advantage of a mentally disabled person.
Heshe or shehe? Hesheit? Sheheit?
Is there a problem...officer?
I agree there is no excuse for sexual assault. However that the focus of the article is much much much more on who is using the correct PC term and which pronouns, I am skeptical.
If this was a story about rape, the topic of the story would be the rape not PC terms nor who is using correct pronouns. It seems pretty cold toward the alledged victim to cares so little about what happened to them.
Doesn’t matter if it’s an alleged crime or not. A transgendered person is entitled to the same protections as anyone else. The allegations need to be treated as seriously as any other citizen’s.
I do not disagree with you.
My purpose of posting the article was the confusion of what the person is defined as.
I like the old days, you are either a man or a woman.
Oh, yes. Fair enough. I also could have put more emphasis on the “if” part of my post. I don’t automatically believe *any* claims of rape, and I may possibly have a bias against claims by emotionally disturbed persons on top of that.
Right. Which makes it even more likely it's all a lie.
I was not complaining to you. I was agreeing with you, but adding my own caveat. Raping anyone under the color of law is almost as serious a crime as I can imagine.
Yeah, don’t you miss the old days,it was simple man ,woman.
Now we have all the in betweens, not sure what they are but want the same rights.
When I was a kid there was one character who hung out in the yacht pier restroom. About once a month someone would throw him in the bay. Now they’re all over town.
Yah, and the difficult news to get across to people is that even now, you're either a man or a woman. You don't really get to change. You can be a man with mutilated parts, or a woman with mutilated parts, but you remain the same actual gender than you were born with. Chromosomes tell the story. Now if somebody wants to pretend to be the other sex... sure... that's a matter of choice. But the biology of the situation hasn't changed. It's all still make-believe.
And please, don't anybody bore me with "gender and sex aren't the same thing." Nonsense. They are inextricably tied. "Sex" is a term from the field of biology and "gender" is a term from linguistics. But their basis is the same. People can no more change gender or sex than they can change species.
Based on the initial information available, it would appear that the victim is a trans man (assigned female at birth, transitioned to male). However, because news reports often fail to use correct pronouns and gender references, there is always the possibility that the victim is a trans woman.
Anybody got their Andy Oakley decoder ring handy?
HaHaHa.
Yeah we had them in Ireland always treated them as retarded(can i use the word retarded anymore?)one guy played with his dolls, which we would steal and lay on the road so cars would drive over them and then return them to him..
He is a Hairdresser now..
Here is the revised text. The strikethroughs are theirs, not mine.:
According to the report, the victim alleges that Officer Craig Nash pickedhimher up on the morning of February 25, handcuffedhimher, toldhimher to lie down in the back of the car, then drovehimher to another location and sexually assaultedhimher before droppinghimher off.
He said, it said.
I tried to post that but it did not come through.
I thought that was the funniest part of the article..
Confusion and PC alert..
it’s a hir....
