BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- A Catholic school in Colorado is kicking out a preschooler because the child's parents are lesbians.
The child will not be allowed to re-enroll next year at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School. The Denver Archdiocese posted a statement Friday that the parents are "living in open discord with Catholic teaching...."

In today's culture, I fear if he tried to kiss a little boy, and the boy objected, the second boy (kissee) would have to be disciplined and sent to "diversity" training.
Well said, that is what they should do.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many details at the source, however, one must assume that the issue had to come to the school’s attention, which to me implies some kind of behaviour that made it impossible for them to ignore the situation. In other words, they were put in a position where they had to make a decision to protect the other children and make clear to the parents what is and is not acceptable.
I’m guessing that the parents have been unwilling to work with the school and continue to push the agenda.
This is the correct decision. The other students in the school should not be allowed to tacitly get the wrong idea about the nature of the family or marriage, which is what happens if you just look the other way on this stuff.
Parents are the first educators of their children, and it makes no sense to have parents teaching the opposite of the Church’s values at home, while sending him to a Catholic school.
So I suppose we Christians should just lock ourselves away in incubators and sequester ourselves from the world?
That is most certainly not what Jesus taught. This school and their teachings could be the only way this child learns Christian teachings. Instead his entire spiritual education will be provided by his lesbian parents and the public schools. Sad.
No wonder there are less and less Christians in the world. It’s because we decided that we didn’t want to get our hands dirty anymore.
It’s also very possible that the children parroted the parent’s agenda.
So, we should just ignore the needs of all the other kids, just to placate these parents, who don’t have the good sense to at least keep their peculiar tastes private?
We're supposed to at least make an effort.
And as soon as they do that, the "mothers" will sue the school. I don't like this decision, either, but somebody was thinking ahead. WHY would two lesbians send their child to school KNOWING the school has problem with their "lifestyle"?
How are the needs of the other kids being ignored exactly?
And how are the parents being placated? It is a miracle that they are allowing the child into this school, no matter what their motive. We should embrace it.
The other kids will be just fine.
Activism.
Not so. Why do you think we are seeing so much of this kind of thing? It has permeated our society.
Good question. I don’t know why they are sending the kid here. Perhaps it is because Catholic education is good and public edumacation sucks.
But it is a wonderful thing that he has (had) a chance to be exposed to the Gospel and accept Christ. Now he may not.
Gotta get our priorities straight.
So how do we combat it? By locking ourselves in a bunker, or hitting the streets, so to speak?
I’m not getting your point. But apply the WWJD test here.
If you think Jesus would kick this kid out of the school for the sins of his parents than we have a problem in the church.
First off, guardian is a more appropriate term than parent.
His parents told him its OK for boys to kiss boys etc ...

Oh, dear, that is so disturbing.
We don’t do it by allowing our children to be proselytized. Private institutions must be allowed to make their standards clear, and decisions like this are not made overnight. The school must have considered this their last resort. Imho.
My, aren’t we the hater?
