I agree that they school is certainly within their rights. I support their RIGHT to make the decision.
Just not the decision.
“Rule One...”
I agree with you. Non-Catholics can set their own agenda in their own schools. Telling Catholics how to run their schools is overstepping their bounds.
Hi Judith Anne (((((Hugs)))))
Hi Fatima! ((((back atcha!))))
Thanks for comfirming that Catholicism has a different agenda than spreading The Gospel.
Who, then, should take responsibility for saving this child if you two won’t?
You,go to it.Call the parents.
So, in other words, you are “punting” on this kid? Let it be somebody else’s responsibility to save him. Bummer.
“Call the parents.”
What verse of the Gospel is that?
Anyway, as you are aware, the boy does not have a good parental situation (not his fault). But I guess he is just screwed because folks like you and this school can’t be bothered to help him.
I’m familiar with the verse. I believe the word “yoked” has more to do with friends or mates.
I don’t gather that it is suggesting we turn our backs on those who are seeking help just because they don’t live like us, since that would, like totally fly in the face of the rest of the New Testament.
The school is not experimenting, I seriously doubt they are making any changes to their curriculum or their teaching methods. I’m sure the child would have been treated the same as any other child.
Will, I think we are alone on this one. The good people on this thread are more interested in maintaining harmony in their own lives than helping this kid.
They would rather let this kid be raised alone by his lesbian parents rather than put Christ into his life.
I understand.
‘Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For(B) what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or(C) what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Cor 6:14’’
Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God’ (Mark 10:13-14)
You can help him.Call his parents.
“Mind you own business.”
And whose business is this discussion?
over here
Not his. This is a Catholic school.I would never tell a Christian school what to do.
“The boy is on track to be a priest... in the Vatican one day!”
Come on, it is a little bit funny, though a little out of bounds. As they say, true humor has some truth in it.
