Bill Maher once again shows his complete ignorance of science
Climate Change Fraud ^ | March 13, 2010 | Thomas Richard, CCF Editor

Posted on 03/13/2010 12:56:17 PM PST by Ernest_at_the_Beach

Bill Maher, who has smoked just one too many joints in his life, once again stuck his hoof in his mouth. On his show "Real Time," which aired March 12, he said Republicans weren't disgusted by cap and trade when Bush Sr. used it to stop acid rain. How he could compare (mix up?) sulfer dioxide with carbon dioxide is on par with comparing skeptical scientists with holocaust deniers. Which he's done.

He also said global warming was the ultimate health care issue, and when his guest Amy Holmes fought back with science, Maher did what any alarmist does: Ad hominem attacks. He was also completely unaware about the IPCC's major blunder regarding the Himalayan ice caps melting by 2035, and Ms. Holmes asked the audience to use their iPhones to look it up when Maher scoffed at the notion the IPCC was wrong.

Calling skeptics like Amy as people with their heads in the sand, it couldn't have been more abundantly clear that Maher is the one building sand castles on the beach as the tide comes in.

Watch here at this link (apologies for redirecting you to the HuffBlow).

The only worrisome thing is how effective ridicule is as a way of shutting people up or getting the public not to take them seriously. The left has been doing this for a generation, and most people would rather be entertained than educated.

One cliche after another and interrupting so the girl couldn’t make her point. Why even go on there? Let him talk his gibberish to himself.

Pray for America

See what lack of education causes. Inbreeding doesn’t help.

Why would anyone set down with a mentally challenged inbred
knowing how they scream like banshees and will not let you talk?

Almost every hotel and motel in the USA is keeping him on the air.

When you can’t rent a room without HBO, you’re keeping him on the air because of their subscriptions to HBO that you pay in your hotel bill.

I stayed at a Residence Inn last month and had my “choice” of 3 HBO’s. I started watching this guy for the first time ever and within 5 minutes turned him off.

I just don’t know any clean words to describe him. He’s definitely a sycophant.

Maher once had a black girlfriend, and he beat her up.

He beats submissive black women.

Bill Maher is to secular humanism as Michael Moore is to Marxism. Both are vile, contemptable representatives of vile despicable world views.

Billy, there is no comparison.....

.....SO2 is not a basic atmospheric gas, CO2 is.

.....Carbon is basic component of fossil fuels, which constitute most of our power. Sulfur can be scrubbed relatively cheaply and fuels with less of it can be found.

Your argument actually pats Republicans on the back since you demonstrate they are sane (for the most part). They oppose the ridiculous CO2 regulation while being reasonable on SO2.

That what you intended, is it?

The thing that trips me out the most about his show is that he will have four guests - three liberals and one conservative. So including himself, there is always a liberal to conservative ratio of 4:1. Maybe he’s overcompensating for something.

Sulfur dioxide...

When I was a kid the refrigerator we had at home used sulfur dioxide as the refrigerant. Early refrigeration used sulfur dioxide or ammonia as refrigerant because both have desirable high latent heats of vaporization. The compressor on that refrigerator (a Kelvinator) was noisy, so Dad moved the compressor to the basement, replumbing coolant lines to the refrigerator.

I remember those, they ran forever and were still around when I was a kid. They might even still be around in some instances!

His researchers read several articles written in 2008 by Bush Sr.’s and several Republican Congressional aides/policy advisors who helped draft the acid rain laws. The articles were posted on FR at the time, were quite interesting reading for those of us who weren’t paying attention back then.

Maher’s researchers didn’t quite grasp the articles, didn’t read any of the policy papers the articles were discussing, and didn’t grasp the comparison was made between the market/auction mechanisms, (AND NOT THE RESULTING REDUCTIONS) which for the acid rain were just one of several mechanisms looked at, and only worked in that particular case due to the developed framework of sulfur dioxide monitoring that took something like 15 years to develop.

along with all motorhome refrigerators, they use heat via electricity or propane to start and continue the heat exchange process.

Earnest, About a half-year ago I sent him a copy of my work plus four-hour slide shows explaining the basics of global warming.

Can’t fix stupid.

I didn’t even get an autograph photo.

I am hurt and distraught. I think another glass of Junot’ is due.

I remember a time I liked his act. About seven years ago he had what made a good TV and night club stuff.

Now, he is, “Let me be liberal for liberal sake.” That keeps coming up a “lack of judgment”.

Now, he is what he once hated. He is now “politically correct”.

Now, here is Bill. I think his career is dying and he knows it. He is swinging at the air. He went out on the limb with all this greenhouse gas stuff and didn’t know the fundamentals of global warming and cooling. His hollywood staff didn’t know any better. He had some bad stuff on his HBO show. That is why I sent him my stuff.

He didn’t listen. He is going down with Mann, Hanson and the others. One burned out light bulb.

I listened to a liberal talk show down in Miami. Liberals have no concept of work or profit. Those who make profit owe those who sit at home and don’t want to work. It lacks a basis. Their solution to our money problems, print more of it. What is the cause? That requires research. Thus, greed is bad.

There is an overriding lazy in everything they think, say and do. That is Bill’s audience, today. His age group is leaving him for reality is on them. He appeals to the warm fuzzy easy answer group, now.

He’s no Voltaire even on a bad Voltaire Day.

Sincerely,

Paul
