Nothing accomplished. We keep losing every battle. All indications are, with immigration “reform” and more than 50% of Americans (and climbing) dependent on government, our votes could be diluted to nothing by 2012 (assuming we have a real election), the way things are going.
B-Chan, a prolific and wise Freeper, is right. It’s going to take the system collapsing financially under the weight of its own absurdity for real change to happen because Obama is correct in his judgment: The vast majority of Americans will bend over and will not seriously fight bigger, fatter, dumber government, including so-called "conservatives."

I agree with that. Once that happens we press the re-set button and start over. The libs, illegals, radicals, socialists and commies in one part of the country to fend for themselves and the productive, hardworking, innovative citizens in the other. Whatever. I spent the entire day Saturday on Capitol Hill. I returned home sunburned, hoarse, and with a splitting headache.
No, my presence and that of the other 50,000+ patriots, did not prevent the bill from passing. But at least I can take solace in that I did what I could.
Alternatively, we could have all just sat home on our asses, watched the bill pass anyway, and then wonder if a protest on the Capitol steps might not have made a difference.
