Are these numbers broken down as per race?

Not there, but if you will dig deeper via the CDC links you can find them. All i have now is that

AIDS is the leading cause of death among African Americans aged 24 to 44, while HIV is the third leading cause of death among Latinos and fifth leading cause among whites in the same age group. Kaiser Family Foundation http://www.kff.org/content/2003/3345

In 2001, HIV/AIDS was among the top three causes of death for African American men aged 25-54 years and among the top 4 causes of death for African American women aged 20-54 years. CDC, National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHSTP)
