Police: Ex-professor in Alabama university shooting deaths denies killings; gun bought in 1989

The gun used to kill three people during a faculty meeting at an Alabama school was bought for the suspect's husband two decades ago when he said he was having problems with a neighbor, an investigator testified Tuesday.

The investigator told a judge that an acquaintance bought the gun in New Hampshire for Amy Bishop's husband to skirt a waiting period where the couple lived in Massachusetts.

Huntsville police investigator Charlie Gray also testified that Bishop denied to officers that she had anything to do with the rampage at a biology department faculty meeting Feb. 12, which also wounded three others.

Bishop, making her first court appearance, was denied bond during a brief hearing. The capital murder case against her was sent to a grand jury, which is not expected to hear it for several months.

She’s a leftist and an avid Obama supporter as some who know her mentioned. Liberalism IS a Mental Disorder.

Shows the effectiveness of unconstitutional gun restrictions, that's for sure.

Like any good liberals, they want laws passed for their symbolism, but those laws aren’t as important as one’s politics. The laws can be ignored if one is Important. I suppose she believed that includes the law about murder, since she already got away with it once. It must be quite a shock to her, sitting in prison in a red state, finding out that the sheriff and the judge don’t give a damn about her relatives and her friends.

Amy Bishop: “Do you know who I am?”

The Court: “You’re the accused.”

Stunned silence as the defendant formerly known as Professor Bishop realizes that her friends aren’t going to bail her out of this one.

Amy Bishop: “I didn’t do it.”

The Court: “Whatever.”

IMO, this left wing fruitcake is the main event in the 2010 elections. She’s a vile, self important thug. When she was no longer able to glom a salary off the public trough, she resorted to murder to get even with those who she felt betrayed her and were beneath her. She reminds me of several high level members of the current executive branch.

She’s a feminist. That’s what feminists are about—especially amazonian feminists (the worst).

That’s a colorful expression. I’m always interested in colloquialisms.

I agree, though. And I feel terribly sorry for her children.
