And absolutely NO hash browned potatos OR grits.

Never had grits, but I won't give up my hashed browns. They can take my hashed browns from my warm, happy hands.

Actually, there is some new information that it’s not fat that’s bad for you.

But that it’s the consumption of too much Omega-6 and little, if any, Omega-3, in American diets.

“Why Omega-3s Were Removed from the Western Diet and What We Can Do to Replace Them”

Give a listen.

Her research showed that if you want to lose weight you should eat your carbs early in the day. Your dinner should not contain a lot of starches like potatoes and pasta

Without getting into the particulars their are some MD’s that have broken from the AMA and have gone the alt-health diet/supplement route. One of these types noted to someone I know to have an 1 egg for breakfast, i.e. the protein and keep from feeling hungry. Goes against all the LDL etc stuff we here, it was a bit of a shocker for this individual....

Might have lived to 120, if he had eaten broccoli for breakfast, instead.

Funny you should mention that... since, he HATED broccoli. But, did eat plenty of fresh beans and greens from his garden.

HIST Grandfather lived to be 111.... I'm not sure what he ate, but... I know bourbon was a staple in his diet. :-)
