Singapore Police are questioning a man who threatened to bring down a Qantas airliner flying from Sydney using the power of his mind, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported Monday.
ABC reporter Nick Luchinelli, who was on the flight, reported that the middle-aged man appeared to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or both. Stewards cuffed his arms and legs, and Singaporean police came to get him after other passengers got off.
Uri Geller?
Singaporean law allows caning to be ordered for over 30 offences, including robbery, gang robbery with murder, drug use, vandalism, disturbing the peace, and rioting. Caning is also a mandatory punishment for certain offences such as rape, drug trafficking and for visiting foreigners who overstay their visa by more than 90 days.

Not exactly sure if it would be legal but a few of these would be punishable by caning if I had my way...Add Child Molestation as well....
Way to solve Imigration? visiting foreigners who overstay their visa by more than 90 days
I recall watching the TV show “Airline” (American version). Some guy that was kicked off a flight for being drunk (IIRC), said “I hope your plane crashes.”
The gate agent said “not only will you not be flying Southwest today, you will not ever fly on Southwest again” and had security escort him from the terminal.
Sometimes loose lips sink ships.
Maybe he was channeling goats....
In before the “Rain Man” references.

Seems like a meaningless gesture. If the man’s threat was genuine, cuffing his arms and legs would be futile. Nothing short of cuffing his mind would save the plane. :-)
Why didn’t he use the power of his mind to make the cuffs fall off?
LOL! Or do his Jedi mind-trick to convince those arresting him were “not to arrest him”?
I was just watching THE SHADOW with Alex Baldwin on Youtube and Genhis Khan was using his mind to “cloak” a building in NYC.
mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm Concentrate concentrate Barry, where are you?
What? Another drunk/drugged Kennedy and a plane?
Trying to take down a plane with your mind when you’re on the plane is a disallowed recursive call. You’re only Jedi mind tricking yourself!
Heck, Richard Burton did that back in ‘78.
“Pillow pad to protect prisoner”, now that’s a humorous touch.
