Man Slashes Dog For Being Racist

A Yonkers man was arrested by local police after he slashed a German shepherd because it was racist.

According to 58-year-old Andrew Owens, Jenna the German shepherd only barked at minorities and bit him in the past because of his race.

When the dog began barking at him on Tuesday, Owens reportedly became so furious that he took out a nine inch knife and slashed the dog across the face.

The dog was reportedly cut from the right eye down to the eye socket bone.

The dog lost an eye because of the incident and was hospitalized.

On a few occasions, I have calmly interacted with a leashed dog with an owner that seemed to wish his dog would bark at me (or was dissapointed that it didn’t). Seemed to piss them off that their dog seemed to like this white guy!

Peter Jackson is re-making The Dam Busters, but I have no doubt they will change the dog's name.

Maybe they'll just call him "N-Word"? ;)

I put humanlife above an animal's life. However, a person that would act on his rage in this manner would do this to a person he perceived racist...... I'd say an eye for an eye would be justified in this instance.

Something about this story didn’t seem right, so I searched back to the original story in the New York Journal News. It was the owner of the dog, not the slasher, who bizarrely told reporters that the dog was racist:

I have found it to be absolutely true. Also, if the man of the house wears a beard, the dog is OK with bearded men. If he doesn’t wear a beard the dog will bark at a man who does. Same with hats. The dog tolerates hats if he is accustomed to seeing his people wearing hats. Of course you have a few laid back dogs that don’t care and some are OK with armed home invaders if they brings snacks.
