Bush and Cheney were ravaged over not providing armored humvees, and body armor. This article mentions FOOD AND WATER!!!!!!! This is basic stuff! WHY?!?!
talking about the war, where are all the leftist anti war goons protesting against Øbama? We haven’t heard a peep from them or the media attacking Obama on the war or the war dead. Figures.
Visit anysoldier.com to see the types of food items they are requesting. Support our troops-they are hungry, in addition to everything else. Money for everything and everybody under the sun, except the hardworking Americans. Typical Barry.
Oh you missed the report.
The General says that he is rationing the troops to one meal a day.
Closing Burger King, and subjecting the men to 8 mile runs, for strength building.
UH HUH
Paging Oliver North, your next assignment . . . can we hope that Fox will report??
can we get this story on drudge..please post it for him
I’ve never heard of this web site. Can we be sure this is true?
Here is another quote from the article.: ,”there are no beds, no showers, no toilets and no electricity. Chickens and ducks roam the bare dirt yard amid scraps of trash and rotting animal dung. Fleas, flies and filth are the grunts constant companions.” They doubt they will see permanent living crates or even cots. They sleep with flees and chiggers and have very little food available to them.”
IF this is true, the military is being subjected to conditions that lead to disease.
This CAN NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAND.
Wheres Whorealdo and Shep? Or do they only go after Bush.
If the military chain of command at the division and corps level are not able to immediately address these requirements within 48 hrs then they are grossly incapable of defending the US from enemies of the Constitution either foreign or domestic.
IMHO, the US military has been reduced to Bn sized units which barely function at regimental level and are tipe for attack at corps to army, to front level. I suspect their planners don’t even grasp the meaning of any military organization deeper than division or task force and their daily logistics are challenged at above the Bn level.
No it can not be allowed to stand...I posted on Drudges suggest a story link, on facebook and here. I want to yell this from the roof tops. Obama is the commander in chief and this is he job to make sure OUR troops have what they need. These are basic needs. I am p*ssed!! Where is the outcry? Where are the liberals? Where is the media? This is WRONG!!
I do not know what to do do make this story be heard..............
If you want to see pictures of how they are living look here
http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=68713
A lot of places are much worse than these pictures.
Afghanistan is a horrible place
When they talk about having Burger Kings etc this is only on the two main bases there . If you are not on the main bases or your job takes you off the bases it is really horrible in some of the more remote areas.
They have just decided to shut down all the fast food franchises on these bases. So I guess that might be the problem.
Something really doesn’t make sense here.
If one isn’t able to maintain adequate food and water supplies, then Burger Kings really aren’t an issue. If Burger King is having to be shut down by policy , then the problems aren’t with logistics, but with discipline.
We, armed forces, serving at home and abroad, are still waiting.
Being the President is hard. Apparently.
Not putting anything past Obama:
Two possiblities:
(1) Obama re-routing US supplies to the enemy.
(2) General: “Mr. President, the troops have no bread.”
Obama: “Then let them eat cake.”
Probably not the case. But with Obama.....
I just got email from a friend over in Afghanistan: they confirm the story, but are unable/unwilling to give details.
Damn. This is completely unacceptable.
